  • What is the name of the promotion the show is called Extreme Reunion, but what will this promotion be called?

  • This interview and thinking about the show, gives me chills and brings tears to my eyes. I can't wait. This is going to be amazing!

  • I hate when I have to take a shit at work!

  • It's rare that I sit and listen to these things in one sitting but Shane Douglas is really imteresting to listen to and you can just tell from how he speaks that he's passionate about the buisness and sleeps, breathes and eats wrestling

  • Another great interview. I think it's important he brings up shoot fighting. As fans can change the channel and see someone getting punched in the face for real now. The old ECW provided entertainment which competed with this, utilizing intense booking, great stunts and reality based storylines. WWE seems to have gone in the other direction, and no ones buying it. UFCs production, and story line build ups have vastly improved in the last few years also.

  • The flair story about him at the bar with the woman...holy shit..the fuck?..lol

  • speaking of WWE and farts...... wonder if the girl he was talking to was Natalya *trollface*

  • Shane Douglas lobbied Dixie Carter for a match at Hardcore Justice, even said he'd do the show for free if he could get his hands on Flair (Shane's words). Then when Dixie wouldn't return his calls (because let's face it Shane's a nobody), he claimed that he refused to do the show because of the "ridiculously low pay" being offered. Can Shane Douglas not keep track of his own bullshit?

  • Shane needs to stick to stuffing his face w/ Target cafe food & leave Flair alone. Talking smack about the greatest legend of all time will not elevate Shane in people's eyes nor will it make him relevant. Shane is only making himself look like a bitter, pathetic loser. He thinks Flair & Hogan are living in the past? Then WTF do you call putting together an ECW reunion? Not only is Shane living in the past but he's trying to resurrect a dead company because neither WWE nor TNA wants him.

  • @NaughtybyNaitcha Shane is trying to revive ECW. He's starting with some old stars to give it some credibility. He plans to bring in younger stars as it progresses and weed out a lot of the older guys. Shane thinks the business needs a kick in the ass because it's become very stale (which I agree with) which is one of the reasons he wants to bring back ECW. Of course he's doing this because he wants to be relevant as well.

  • @HGeneAnthony He's gonna "weed out a lot of the older guys"? Of course, those older guys won't include himself. He'll do the exact same thing he accused Flair of doing. He'll book himself on top & hold the younger talent down. Yeah, I agree that wrestling needs a kick in the ass, but Shane Douglas isn't the guy to do it.

  • @NaughtybyNaitcha more than likely the first champion or champions are going to be comprised of former champions (Rhino, Raven, himself). Rhino is the most likely guy to get the world title considering he never lost the old one so it makes sense. Shane will always be around but he'll probably blend into a commentary/authority role. I don't see him pulling a Jarrett. Shane's problems with Flair have more to do with how he acts in real life.

  • @HGeneAnthony You mean exactly what Vince did with ECW ?

  • @zerostarpromoz Vince used the name but he changed the product. It was nothing more than a glorified Sunday Night Heat. BTW. the new stars he focused on were not guys who would have gotten over with an ECW crowd, they were WWE guys who never got over on the main show or they were guys being groomed for the main roster. Also Shane will probably gradually introduce new guys. WWECW jobbed out almost all the ECW guys immediately and noone but dreamer was there very long.

  • Shane Douglas is full of shit. He's just butthurt because nobody gives a fuck about him. When Has this guy ever been relevant? He said that Flair should have called it quits in his 40's, yet this fat fuck "The Frenchfries" thinks he can be a main eventer at 47. Flair exposed himself to children in a bar? Which bar was this? A monkey bar? Flair's going back into the Hall of Fame. What's Douglas doing? Putting together yet another ECW reunion that nobody cares about.

  • no offense this is one of the best shows out there and I really love it (just recently discovered it) but I just wish the audio quality was batter from the guests a lot of times.

  • TNA is failing because they can't match the production of the WWE product. How a product looks is everything and then the wrestling. Their production looks like a boring house show.

  • @steveislove Eh, I don't think that matters much. ECW had no production value. If you only watch for pyro and titantrons you aren't much of a wrestling fan.

  • @jackiyh Hi Jacklyh You got it wrong I am a diehard fan of over 40 years but i am not talking in just my terms I'm talking in money making terms what a product looks like generates interest and money, s a real fan i look at the product in the ring but its not enough of us not to generate the interest and money. They need to attract the occasional fan and thats where production comes in. You have to look at the whole product. This is what a real wrestling fan knows. ECW was an exception.

  • @jackiyh ECW knew they couldn't compete with WWE in pyro so they didn't do it which worked for them. They focused on what they were good at. What they did have though was the best music. WWE has drastically improved in this field though, they also had the best matches which WWE has also improved in this field.

  • @jackiyh If you supported ECW you are not much of a wresling fan

  • @zerostarpromoz Yes, real wrestling don't support wrestling companies. The true fans support pyro and big video screens.

  • @jackiyh ecw isnt wrestleing its beating people over the head with weapons

  • @OVERCOME72 ecw was so much more than that

  • @zerostarpromoz You obviously have no idea.

  • @zerostarpromoz failed attempt at cheap heat.

  • @steveislove

No, TNA is failing because they fucking suck. ECW worked with way less and although it died in the end, Vince practically copied everything in ECW that ever worked, toned it down a bit and proceeded to slowly but surely destroy the juggernaut that was WCW with it.

The problem is this, and call me sexist I don't give a fuck...Dixie and Stephanie have way too much influence over today's product.

  • @steveislove TNA is failing because they try to be WWE and do it poorly. WCW had worst production than WWE when they kicked their ass. Quality storylines and heat are what draws money in and keeps fans returning. Having a slick product helps, but frankly TNA looks pretty good. I think you're thinking their standards are lower primarily because they host their tv show out of the orlando studios in front of the same, overexposed small crowd.

  • support this project people......you got my support shane.

  • @bluefukingreene yeppers (: I got my front row ticket!!

  • one of the best interviews ever

  • The majority of wrestlers fans are poor, uneducated, ignorant white trash. There is an expanding audience of poor, uneducated black and hispanic folks. Either way, they are the rejects and bottom feeders of society. As Big Poppa Pump would say: Genetic Junk.

There is nothing sweeter than taking their money that they desperatley need, but are too stupid to keep.

  • Huge fan of Shane Douglas. In a way, I'm disappointed he didn't stick around in WWF back in 96. With the change of atmosphere, he woulda fit in perfectly for the "Attitude Era". They prolly woulda changed him back to being Shane rather than Dean. However, his run in ECW in 96-99 may be one of the best heel runs I've ever seen.

  • @Rayla840 I am college educated. Have a very good position in a company I have been with for 25+ years. And have been an avid fan of professional wrestling since I was a child. How I spend my expendable income is none of your business. I see this is theatre. I would rather spend my money on a ticket to see this sort of ballet - then one dime on a ight at The Met. One man's junk is another man's treasure. Beats selling crack and insulting people you don't know on YouTube.

  • @SeanMBryans Yeah....um, I would just ignore youngbuck. I do comment back to haters but youngbuck is probably a backyarder that is trying to cut a heel promo just to get a rise out of people. There's a difference between making relevant points that I may happen to disagree with and just being an idiot. He's the later but with that being said, I do like your comment

  • @Rayla840 Sorry those comments were meant for youngbuck189. Just placed it on the wrong Reply. Iagree wit h you 100% when it comes to Shane - And having watched him evolve throughout the year from a babyface to phenomenal heel persona. Priceless.

  • 0:39:00 is classic!!! He should doa FULL 2 hour shoot on Flair.

  • Ric Flair = The Wrestler. sad to say...

  • Ricky Steamboat was a top 5 wrestler of all time! Also has anyone ever had a bad word to say about Ricky, amazing guy

  • Someone needs to tell Shane the "ECW" thing isn't new anymore its 20 years old!!! Shane is just like when Hulk or Flair thinks the the 80's should comeback... everyone looks back at their youth like its "Big Fish". Nothing is new in wrestling and now with youtube we all have seen every storyline a million times for the last 30 years.

  • The "ECW" moment since Vince took WCW down is UFC! Thats the thing that has killed Pro Wrestling & Boxing! Its over... Wrestling should go back to the "Good Guy/ Bad Guy" stuff from the 1980's because the ECW stuff, that audience went to MMA. Why would you want to watch a soap opera with bad actors bleed - when you can just watch MMA now?

  • @lucky44124 why can't people like MMA and wrestling. In MMA you can't have crazy characters, storylines, or even stars that will be around for a few years. I'm a wrestling fan but I haven't watched wrestling at all in a couple of months because I just can't do it anymore, it's too dull. This has been going on for a good 10 years. There's a lot of fans like me. If it wasn't for DVR I wouldn't watch it at all in the last 10 years and I still forward through the show in 10 minutes

  • ...awesome in depth w/ shane...he knows his shit...another great shoot ty jack...1st again btw...lovin that...just shows i got no life lol...or maybe wrestling and music is my life

  • @UnseenEntityMetal Thanks man, no need to apologize for loving good interviews I say :). Thanks for listening

  • @UnseenEntityMetal no, the people that have no life are the ones that watch and comment on shanes videos just to hate on them. I like your comment though. If anyone ever said I have no life or don't know about wrestling because I love ecw, then that is their opinion and they are entitled to it but im so excited for the show, got my front row ticket. I always have loved and always will love ecw til the day I die. Always remember! ecw4life <3
