1. The gates touch more than 1 engine, that is why you are having a problem (the gates look at cardinal directions, you have an engine directly beneath the gate on the water line for example)
2. It would've been better to send a signal if the engine is full, then turn on the pump is a signal is not sent (meaning all engines are not full). Using a couple monostable circuits, you could run the engines until dry, turn them off, fill them up, then back on.
@sabriath on my design i tryed the if they are full, but it waits till both fuel and water is full and you have no choice which one you can wait for, so you could have filled water but only a bit of fuel and it wouldnt change :(
Firstly, I REALLY like how the entire thing resembles a real combustion engine ;D
Secondly, a few suggestions: You can cool the entire system if you replace your stone water pipes with gold, and have a pump in a 5x5 infinite water spring set up with each face of the pump outputting water into the system. Excepting the 'down' face and the 'up' face. The up face would be run by the power output of the entire system. You could put the pump and tank above the genny.
@Corbald thanks, yes typically i would just pump water constantly to the engines in the fashion you described but I wanted to play around with the new logic gates!
@lenslicker I wish my computer could handle recording. It barely handles Minecraft as it is! I would love to show you my setup, which still makes heavy use of the logic gates, but also has an extremely efficient coolant system. I'm pumping coolant and fuel full time, but I use the gates as an emergency shut-down system, in case the cooling system should fail, or the reserve tanks should empty... Here's an Imgur album detailing the device: imgur.com/a/kUdOu
@Corbald People keep saying in many videos to use an infinite water spring.. Why not build things near the oceans (I don't play minecraft but i've noticed oceans) Connect the pump into that and no more worries.. :)
