  • @captjeff78 are you selling ,if so whats the price incl sending overseas?

  • @transdetendal thanks for your comment! i do sell these knives. you can visit my website for pricing info.... w w w(dot)cjsknives(dot)com

    thanks

  • Between the cut thumb, electrical tape band-aid, and blown fuse...... I would've edited. :) But I like DIY gear of all kinds so I give it an "A" for effort. I had to laugh by the time the fuse blew though! :)

  • @Greygor1234567890 lol i am glad i can make you laugh!! i like to have a good time! trust me there was plenty of editing, but cant edit the fact that i am human! lol since this video i have updated my electrical system and no longer have the "power outages"! thanks for you comment!

  • no pins?

  • @yonatantt no, i use a 2 part epoxy and the pins are really just for looks on a knife anyway. unless you are talking about folding knives that have the pins peened, the pins are unnecessary on a fixed blade knife. since this seems to be controversial i have begun to use pins on my knives.

  • How/Where do you get the blade stamped with your logo?

  • What tasks do you intend to use the knife for? The handle seems a little small for your hands, seeing as you designed it. Forgive me, but why have a sheathe knife with such a small edge? Wouldn't a folding pocket knife do whatever you intend your knife to do easily?

  • thats great for a first knife

  • Nice, always wanted to do that. With your help I hope to. I would have liked to see your buffer wheel too..

  • @txrelichunter sorry ... i left that part out as i didnt want to make it a "buffing" video. i was concentrating on the sheath making end of it.... didnt want the video too long.. thanks for watching and commenting...

  • With the knife being held so tight, is the cutting edge effected at all?

  • @jstlookn48 the only problem i have seen is minor scratches on the blade face. the edge isnt effected, it could cut right through the kydex!

  • Good video thanks! Just got into knife making right now I'm make'n a file knife then I'll prolly move on to stainless :)

  • Great knife. I like mine from our trade bro. Cuts are all part of the game. I keep a suture kit handy at all times. Use one often too. LOL

  • Is it linen or canvas micarta?

  • @1994Juggernaut its actually paper micarta. when sanded it looks like plastic. you dont get the contrasting colors it is black all the way through. thats the difference with G10.

  • You cut your finger....yay!!...

    Sorry Jeff...heh heh heh...but ...

    "welcome to the knifemakers club"

    Good work Jeff.

    Rob

  • @RDPproject its a humiliating honorto be a part of the club. now, do i get a certificate, or a badge of some kind? lol

    thanks Rob!

  • Take care of that cut Jeff. Superglue :) careful of infection with shop wounds

  • @knivesandstuff ha ha! the old super glue trick! its not that bad, i have cleaned it, its going to be fine. thanks for your concern

  • Lookin good! Makes me want to go out and finish a few of mine!

  • @ARCustomKnives i feel the same way! it was hard for me to get out of the shop today.

  • @ARCustomKnives

Yeah...i know how you feel Andrew....I just wish I had

    something to do myself.

(moving house soon so my gear is packed up)

  • It happens to the best of us ,real knife makers shed a little blood now and then

    its a beauty.

  • @blacksheep21000 thanks!

  • I need a air mask before I tried G10 or Micarta. Haha classic man. Now it

s tasted blood not good! Looks great man. Haha thanks to funny, power loss. Sometimes it happens in mine too. I just run an extension cord to mine. Ouch no small cut man. That looks great man!

  • @Mrcaffinebean thanks Jake! yeah micarta is nasty when sanded. safety first!

i seem to only have the power outage problem in the winter when i have my heater running.

  • i agree, i don´t believe it´s possible being a knivemaker without some collateral damages. But it´s worth it , especially if the result is such a beauty. and the sheath is pretty neat too , nicely done cap, congratz

  • @sm4rtmouth thanks! i appreciate your kind words... i felt stupid cutting myself, but things happen! lesson learned!
