they were never made in the us. only in japan and imported here. there were us europe and asia versrions. i would know. i own two stealths, both made in the same plant as the 3kgt. in JAPAN not U.S
that thing has such a cool spoiler. One of my favorite things on there. I have seen this thing in yellow with a carbon fiber hood. looks great. Would look better in a highlighter kind of yellow.

Nothing like having some civic sportin' a Folgers Crystal exhaust trying to mess with you, then rolling down the window, pointing casually at the "Twin Turbo" decal and rolling the window back up.

Yeah, you can get different hoods, front and rear ends to convert. Expensive though. For same money, you can get custom hoods, rear, side and front skirts and fairings to make your 92 look more like a 97 from aftermarket, some even better looking than stock 97.
Yeah dude, do you even have a DL? That's the stock rear wing on VR-4 models in that year, as well as the rims. Although I must admit those rims are ugly, even back then...

Haha, I know the feeling...My 95 would run low 14s and I ended up racing a 91 VR-4 (stock) one night. We ran from 15-65 and since I didn't have to wait for the turbos to spool (cause I didn't have any, lol) I jumped about a half car length and by the time we got to 65 he was almost equal with me...I was pretty happy, haha.
Yeah I have a 95 n/a 3k I was able to pull on most vr4's till about a 100. I've done a 99 convertion with a twin turbo kit. Now I havent lost to a vr4 period. Prob the weight difference without the awd.

Well if you knew much about cars you would know it is a TT v6 awd, these cars are fast and only stupid people race them because all raceing does is mess up your car unless you have it set up just for raceing on the track.

a vr4 in good shape is pretty expensive. paying for my evo 9 MR is kind of a pain in the ass. so for a low priced car you can get a rsx s from 6-10k or you can get a 98-99 eclipse gsx for around the same price as the rsx or lower then a rsx.

actually it is called awd - all wheel drive. with 4 wheel independent steering and suspension. the one my good friend has, has twin turbo. you get the nicer wheels. it sits about 4 inches lower and the wheels are wider to.
VR4 stands for viscous real time 4 wheel drive. It doesn't sit lower than other 3000GTs, the beefier suspension actually adds 2 inches to the car's overall height compared to the base and SL models.

They look nice but even my stock 2000 Trans Am wasted the VR4s by about 2 cars by 60 mph from a dead start. The VR4s are quick frm 0-35 or 40 mph with the AWDs but then their weight really slows them down after that. At a rolling start many other cars would have a huge advantage. Nice looking car though.
Hahahahahaha, not kidding. Stock LS1 Trans Ams were well underrated and put 300 hp to the ground and at 400 lbs less less than a VR4..., you do the math genius.
I don't know who you ran skippy, but I have a 99 VR4 and I have 320 horsepower stock and more torque than a Trans AM.lol Not to mention how quick, I set sail on a TA from a dead stop.

I think 1997 vr4 was the fastest reviews i've read and they were 13.7 which is really quick back in 97, but you get even a 01 m3 and they are running low 13's with no turbos and a better ride and way better looking, or a shitty old trans am WS6 like a 1998 and they would run a 13.4. i do agree though the vr4 was a very cool car.
I disagree with your statement that BMW is way better looking than the 3000GT. On the contrary, the 3000GT is one of the best looking cars ever made and they have held up their looks much longer than any BMW for that matter. IMO.

definitly, especially with the return of the skyline gtr. im a ford guy and dont really like jap cars, but id buy a 3000gt, skyline gtr, supra, or nsx any day. i think the supra and nsx should come back too, they were toyota and hondas only good cars

nice car man, i got a 1996 SL model, and this wednesday im getting a 1997 white vr4, such sexy cars, it is true the 3000gt are way more sexier then bmw even thou i like bmw alot to, i still get way more attention drive the 3000gt then i would bmw, cuz it got that exotic look to it, great looking car

mmmm i owned one and i have a hard time with that especially the bmw and porsche thing. I think 1997 vr4 was the fastest reviews i've read and they were 13.7 which is really quick back in 97, but you get even a 01 m3 and they are running low 13's with no turbos and a better ride and way better looking, or a shitty old trans am WS6 like a 1998 and they would run a 13.4. i do agree though the vr4 was a very cool car.

I disagree with your statement that BMW is way better looking than the 3000GT. On the contrary, the 3000GT is one of the best looking cars ever made and they have held up their looks much longer than any BMW for that matter. IMO.

you put a body kit and a wing on a 3000GT??? Honestly??? and the only hood that would make this car ANY better is the Victory racing hood from 3sx..go buy a Honda if you want a body kit...but don't ruin a 3000GT...these cars are rice eaters...not rice burners...
