Just ordered one of these. Now on days when I can't go outside and play or should I say won't go out cause I'm too old and it's too cold I'll have another 4 channel heli to play with.
i have an issue. For beginners what is better: this mcx heli or a trex 400( for example) for outdoors? I mean this mcx model seams to be very funny, but is it worthy? or should i spent my money in a outdoor one? i also reed something about the size, that bigger is easy to control. I would appreciate a reply.
I have used trainings gears on the mcx the last months for safe flying, I have extreme problems to hover it nicely. Soon I shall buy a Blade 400. Wish me good luck :-)
What an EXCELLENT presentation. Well done, buddy. I enjoyed seeing your garage, too- complete with all of those RC planes and Mistress of the Dark, Elvira. Nice flying and editing of your video!

hey, when i fly mine in a straight line, it will fly forward, then stop for a second, and then fly forward again, it can't fly straight from one point to another, is this normal ?
I wonder why my 4ch heli can't fly smoothly even if i move the sticks really really gently. It just keep kicking around especially when rolling left and right.
By using the light weight and small mCX, this is a Tandem that will take some abuse plus be much more fun to fly in the hands of first time pilots right up to RC heli obsessed folks like myself; especially in smaller indoorareas. At just over 15 inches long, it is the perfect size for this application .=D
E-flite could have done what most others do and use the larger Blade CX coaxial platforms for this tandem. It would be heavy, clumsy, harder to control, and cost a good deal more to repair in the even of a crash, just like the rest of the micro electric tandems out there.
Paring the outstanding mCX mechanics (times two) into a new stretched out tandem frame just goes to show how adaptable the mCX platform is, and will continue to be in the years to come...
Using a micro coaxial platform in a tandem rotor micro electric RC helicopter is nothing new of course with several offerings out there. So is E-flite's version any different? Oh Ya!
The reason the mCX Tandem Rescue has me and so many others excited is the fact that it is based on the Blade mCX making it an instant success. Durability, value, parts support, DSM2 modulation, quality, and perfect indoor size all rolled into a nice yellow package.
You might also like 2 check out the E-flite Blade mCX Tandem Rescue Coaxial Helicopter...After seeing E-flite's mCX Tandem Rescue for the first time I was immediately taken with the scale theme on this bird. As a Canadian, it was great to see E-flite's newest mCX offspring boasting the famous high visibility "yellow banana" search and rescue colors that have made the Boeing CH-113 Labrador such a familiar aircraft up here in the "Great White North".
Hello. I've never flown a R/c heli before EVER! I need a first time beginner helicopter. May I ask you which heli is easy for me to learn, this, or the E-flite Blade mSR Micro Helicopter BNF? Thanks
@LoveJesusLoveJehovah hey dude start with a sim get the esky cheapy ones off amazon for 20$ and throw the software away then get the clearview sim (clearview rocks!!!!!) for like 40$ (it dosnt come with a remote ok?) just keep the remote from the esky cuz you can fly 4ch only and not 3d helis i would recommend going to the experts at rcgroups(DOT)com dont ask me im not the expert k????
@LoveJesusLoveJehovah I have both and there's NO comparison, the MCX can be flown by anyone with very little practice but the MSR is lots harder and lots more sensitive although practice is the key i suppose, hope this helps :)
this heli seems to be flying better than mine. my forward movements are sometimes slow and not consistant, and i am having the "toilet bowl" motion in hover, and i cant get it to hover when im not doing anything, any suggestions?

I just got the mcx s300 and my goodness it is very very controllable easy to fly (flew it around my small room for my first flight) if you know the controls it really is easy to fly. it flys forwards, backwards, right, left, yawr, yawl, very nicely and the controller included in the rtf looks like an airhogs controller but it is much smoother and a very good grip compared to a bigger badder controller though I am planning on a dx6i once i get into the hobby more.
cool ... i have a micro ranger by venom .. its crap i can only airwolf around the room a hover in impossable .. what is a good cheep starter counter rotational heli ??
I have a mini Airwolf by Cobra RC, it's cheap good to start with, I've even flown it outside when theres no wind at all it's decent. 30 to 45 bucks, nice scale bodies on the Cobra RC helis too
how much did you say the thing was ? 15 or 100 dolars? coz for 100 dolars i can get one of them outdoor copters with a camera.all tho nice helicopter thnx for the video
It is So worth the money!!!!!! I even modded my swashplate & flybar!! It's like a rocket on steroids now!! Get one!! You'll love it. Do a search on YouTube for erwin15erwin & you'll see my modds & videos of my Blade mSR....... With the right mod you can get it to do Rolls & Loops..
Hi Dave, I was wondering when you're gonna do a video on the EFlite Blade mSR?? I just picked mine up last week and I think you'll have a Blast with that little heli!!!! Same size as my daughters Blade MCX but with the amazing agility and blazing speed for an 8 inch fixed pitch single rotor heli....... I would love to see you fly that little Rocket!!
otherwise the blades could start spinning when youre about to pick it up, also, that way the gyro can reset itself in case the settings got messed up during the crash
Your videos are awesome, they've been extremely helpful when it comes to getting into RC flying. I was just wondering which heli would be better? The MCX or CX2? Dave, thank-you for all the great videos, they have been very helpful as I'm just getting into R/C Helis. I been flying a little 2ch "Firestrike" tandam/coaxial rotor toy. I'm planing to move up a bit to 4ch coaxial and your videos have helped me narrow down the style I want. Yesterday, I saw the MCX in action at a local hobbyshop, very impressive. By the way, in the MCX video, I thought I saw a Goldwing in your garage? I ride one too. Anyway, thanks for all the info..
Also, really groovy music and excellent flying. That landing on the airplane that was hanging from the ceiling was PRO. I think sometime in the near future I'll get the glow in the dark parts.
I just picked up a blade Mcx yesterday, this thing almost flys itself. so stable. My Helimax Axe cx is a hand full. I wish I would have gotten a mcx first, in the process of learning 4ch on my axe cx, its sitting here rotorbladeless and needs a new inner rotor shaft. I am too impatient to wait for the parts to come in (addict), so I got an mcx and its worth the $.
I saw your other video about when you binded your blade mcx to your dx6i,and i was wondering which would be better to get the bnf,or rtf?If you say bnf which reciever did you use to bind it to your dx6i?Thankx,nick
If you already have a Spektrum TX, just get the BnF mcx. It comes with the RX and the Tx will bind right up to it just fine, along with several other Transmitters that they show pictures of on their website.
dude, i love this room!!!

Helis are far harder to fly and control than planes, but they can do way neater stuff, and they're easy to land compared to a plane.

Thanks kindly. Yeah, on slower connections, you have to pause the video, wait til the red line gets about 3/4 way, then start it again. Take care.

Honeybees with ETRMs, like the MK3 will do or the CP2. Check Xheli (.)com for today's prices.

Yes any wind will cause something this light to jump around. I even shut off the fan in my garage, when flying these.

Start with the MCX. I say learn on a VW, and if you never crash it, then get the Porsche. Thanks kindly.

Hello Mr.dave,
I saw your other video about when you binded your blade mcx to your dx6i,and i was wondering which would be better to get the bnf,or rtf?If you say bnf which reciever did you use to bind it to your dx6i?Thankx,nick

If you already have a Spektrum TX, just get the BnF mcx. It comes with the RX and the Tx will bind right up to it just fine, along with several other Transmitters that they show pictures of on their website.
