Undoubtedly, Beka (as well as Odeon) was a German label owned by the Lindström company. If you listen carefully, you notice the paradox difference: While Lindström's own (German) recordings sound pretty average, all their borrowings from Okeh are technically superior. However for historical reasons, and in many cases for better pressing quality, I always prefer German copies!
That intro was the exact melody of Ellington's "What Am I Here For?"!
