I totally eat this EVERY winter. except when i make it i dont measure a thing, I like mine like a milk shake though. soooo good. Thanks to my granny! :D
Grate video. My niece is out of school because of the bad weather, and I am babysitting so this is going to be fun. adding this to favorites. btw hello from ur neighbor...LOL. I am from Missouri. If weather is going to keep us indoors might as well make the best of it.
Thank You Tawra. I am enjoying a bowl of snow ice cream this very minute. I made the first batch and the vanilla was too strong. I mixed a second batch without vanilla to tame the flavor. It may have been an extra strong vanilla. (Grape juice slushes are a treat also. I use concentrate without diluting. The concentrate worked better than soda. )
wow me nd my freind just made sum. but we made it like 3 more times this was so good :). i hope it snows more often ;). we used regular milk but it still turned out good
I live in Dallas and it snowed last night. It was the fluffiest snow I've ever seen. I knew I had to make something special with it. I just made this recipe a few minutes ago and it tastes just like vanilla ice cream but with a snow consistency. I suggest you try this, just for the sake of trying something new.
This taste really good! make sure you dont put in to much vanilla and put it a little nit more snow! besides that its delicoius! im ganna make this everytime it snows!
LOVE IT! used to have it all the time as a kid. Thanks for posting...brings back lots of memories & to those who don't think so yes it does taste great!
I sometimes, just for the fun of it, made ice cream with the help of snow, not with snow in it. I mixed the snow with normal salt which makes it extremely cold, -20 degrees Celsius, whatever that is in Farenheit, and then I used that to freeze the milk mixture to make ordinary ice cream. This method can be used in case one has not freezer.
Does that actually work? I can't imagine it actually tasting good...it don't have the same texture as ice cream..it looks all crumbly..but I'm still going to try it...I guess I can't say anything until I try it... :)
DARN! Why didn't I think of this when it snowed here in the St. Louis area! Thanks for the vid! I'll remember to set out the bowl next time! Great tip!
This is a favorite at our house. I have warmed the milk to help with the disolving of the sugar then left it outside for a bit to cool. Keep up the great work!
We live in a valley and the mountains around us keep the snow away. We haven't had snow for 4 yrs. But today it snowed, we made snow angels, snow icees and next we are making your snow ice cream. Thanks for posting it.
I made this with my girlies today. It was WONDERFUL!! I did change the receipt a bit. We used heavy whipping cream. VERY good with that. Thanks for the know how!!!
i love this video. i love the sound the utensils make (and the bowl) i made homemade ice cream before for my science project. it's so yummy :) i practically view this video every day!!!
this is a funny story. > we have had a forecast of heavy snow in my hometown in the UK today. I didnt believe it would arrive and i thought, If It Did Then What Can I Do Thats Different With Snow? So i searched Youtube and found this. As soon as this video finished, it started snowing =D im now eating my snow ice cream :P
hehe... come to thin of it.... its kinda bazaar... we get snow in winter here in Wisconsin, no one accually eats the snow... its like rain... or hail.... whos eats it?

Its quite difefrent from how i make mine.
Two cups of milk. (make sure its 2%milk)
One cup of sweetened condensed milk
Two and a half teaspoon of vanilla extract
One cup of icing sugar
Four cups of fresh snow
In a mixing bowl, mix all ingredient except for snow.
Add the mixture onto the snow and beat with a wooden spoon. Keep stirring, until mixture turns fluffy and no crumbles of snow left.
Serve with chocolate syrup and enjoy!

My mom just made snow cream in NJ.
Her son suggested, using pina colada mix instead of sweet milk, sugar and vanilla flavor.
Excellent!!!.
This leads me to suggest, Use What You Have in your own fridge. We're going to try strawberry daqauri, and grape soda mix next.
