In the states, we have an important amendment to our Constitution (#2) that says each individual has a right to keep and bear arms. This limitation on govt power applies in govt schools. Private orgs would be allowed to limit gun carrying. I'm in favor of privatizing all schools, and giving full tuition to the poor...

But killers know those in classrooms are now disarmed. This is why they choose schools for shootings. If they knew some teachers were armed, fewer would come in shooting.

The courts have upheld the right of people with CCP to conceal their weapon in their car even when in a "gun free zone". She doesn't have the right to carry or discharge it anywhere she wants. You can't fire a weapon in city limits (except in self defense) and you can't carry your weapon into high risk places such as schools, banks, and airports.

You have a right to own a gun, but that doesn't mean you can carry or discharge it everywhere you want. There are certain exceptions to each of your individual liberties.
