@ClassicDamsel Thanks for the feedback. The few clips of Gloria Grahame performing this song on youtube have been lower quality, not doing justice to her unique comic interpretation. I think it is very appropriate to the character. This song in particular shouldn't be sung perfectly or with too much gusto.
I'd like to upload more clips (especially "Kansas City" which seems to be lacking here), but my demo DVD ripper only allows 5 minute clips. maybe when I break down and spend the $34.95...
@DFDalton1962 You're welcome! I know exactly what you mean. Perhaps it is just because I've grown up with this version, but I have never really liked when other people have sang this song, no matter how beautiful their voice. They always sound too good, if you know what I mean, and like you said, with too much gusto. I think Ms. Grahame did an excellent job and made Ado Annie her own.
That would be nice! I actually considered uploading that song, but forgot about it.
She's funny.

Love Miss Gloria, but I have heard that her lip surgery made it difficult for her to do her lines and songs clearly. God Bless Her.

I love this version... I just find it hilarious, and suits the character too. XD

I find this to be a very strange scene. She looks utterly terrified. Or has a toothache. Or something along those lines.

This is excellent quality! Thanks for sharing. :) I've posted a few clips from the movie, but they always get a little fuzzy when I upload them.
