And yes "we all know" what people like to say that doesn't make it true. Back in 2000 When Howerd Stern was giving Enrique grief over the tape were he supposedly couldn't sing Enrique went on that show and sang with nothing buy guitar to prove he could yet that fake tape still flies the internet *shrugs shoulders

Recently read that Enrique said that he and his father had not spoken for 7 years following Enrique leaving his father's home at 18 yo to record his first album. That was in 1995. 'Quizas' album/song was released in 2002. . . seven yrs later. Seems like Enrique had to do something like record a song to get his father's attention to try to rebuild their relationship.
