when i played this game i thought it was the most amazing thing in the world when i was younger, then i found out i could play with 3 other people on this game, talk about overwhelming.
I WANT YOU TO LOOK ME SERIOUSLY IN THE EYE AND SAY " THE SPIDER MASTERMIND DOESNT LOOK LIKE KRANG!!!!" AND YOU DONT GET TTO SMILE OR ANYTHING!!! LOOK ME SO SERIOUSLY THAT I DIE!!! THIS KIND OF SERIOUS " O_O "
@DXSnakeEater Lol im not ignorant im not bashing this game i actually have a copy of both games myself. and u must admit that the graphics suk. even back in 1994 games had better graphics
@MrPCgeak Oh, they're not that bad. Want great graphics out of this game? Download the Doomsday Engine, or Risen 3D. Those ports, if you download all their add-ons give you very good graphics. (Not to me, I like the original graphics better) Try those ports out.
Quite right, Usul573. IE was ahead of its time ... and may have actually jumped the gun. If we had started in 98 or so, we probably would never have bothered with the CD distribution and just run flash videos on a webpage. C'est la tech.
As the former managing editor of IE, I love the fact that Soundacious posted this review. I think it was the best single piece we produced! Of course, the publisher fired the guy who was largely responsible for it, but that's another story ...
It's been years since I've seen these reviews. I figured some of them would make their way to Youtube, but for the longest time, I forgot the name of the publication. When IE was sold in the stores, it was always an immediate impulse buy for me. I always liked the reviews because it seemed that they were a bit more candid than the magazine reviews of the day. I agree though, it was ahead of it's time. Just wanted to say that I was a huge fan of the publication.

I've been playing this game every year since 1996 and I still love it! Few games have that sort of durability.

System Shock is the only one I can think of. There was pre-rendered stuff like Myst, but does that really count?
