Now I thought the 007 nightfire for PC was actually a modified Goldsrc engine. Was one of the few non-half-life-canon games to use it, other than gunman. I must say, it had pretty nice textures and effects for a goldsrc.

valve doesnt publish games, they needed vivendi uni for a while, and now the retail orange box, even for pc, is published by ea.

1. Valve makes the software. 2. Gives a copy to EA so they can produce cds/dvds. 3. Via steam, it is distributed through the valve network. Retails are sold by EA.
