yeah the macarena! i loved how one of the guys in this video described the phenomenon. "people were doing it at bar mitzvahs, weddings, funerals" haha! that's true. i think at pretty much every party i went to in the late 90s the macarena was a guaranteed song.

MY favorite year! Entering in my teenage years going to junior high. Fond memories of going to the movies 8 times to see twister wanted to be a tornado chaser till I was in a real one and even had a lil lez crush on Helen Hunt, collecting beanie babies and dressing like Alanis Morrisette. Ahhhh those were the days.
