This song is proof that music is colorless. I've listened, I've examined, I've nit-picked and as a result, you can tell that Natalie has put work in. She has pitch, range and mild power (there's more than Janet Jackson here) and Queen of Me tells a story of a past (just listen) and she tells it well. I even hear a glimmer of Adina Howard in the music and this is possibly the song that Adina missed out on. I don't know of her catalog of music, it was the title that pulled me in. It moves.

I first heard this song on Pandora. I absolutely love this song. This is like the ultimate song that defines me and my personality. I am embarrassed to even ask but what genre of music would this song be categorized under? The music sound somewhat neo-soul but I am not good a defining. Whatever the case, I enjoy this song.

@xoxtamisha So glad you like the song. Except for Major Label artists who absolutely have to define thier sound to fit on radio, nowadays the genre definitions r difficult for Indies such as myself. If I call it R&B, someone will say it's not, if I call it "Pop" someone will say it's not. So basically it's whatever you think it is. I always have defined myself as an aritst who combines R&B, Pop and Soul though. I'm a mix! The main thing is that you like it, and that is really waht is important.
