The definition of a song is a piece of music with singing and words. So yes, some of Bach, Mozart, and Beethoven's greatest works were not songs. This doesn't mean that the works are diminished in quality, it just means we call them something else.

What about a song with a guitar solo or any other instrumental passage; it's a song until it gets to the part with no vocals? What about the beginning of the song? In Shine On You Crazy Diamond, the vocals don't start until a good 5 minutes in, is it not a song that WHOLE time, and then only becomes one for a few minutes and then stops being one for the last 5 minutes?

I'm saying, it's a bogus point of view to say that something isn't a song because there's nobody singing. I used a rather long song which only has singing for a few minutes as an example of the point I was trying to make.

Awesome vid. I used to watch this on my dads video reel. He was in crowd and got to experience it first hand. He said it was like a wave of energy went through the crowd and everyone was just vibing for the whole performance.
