Sure, I suppose you could do that. Still, as much as I love Tarja and appreciate her sensitivity, the Tarja/Nightwish combination was totally awesome. I've heard some of her more recent work; some of it is rock and some of it isn't. While it's good, the musicians backing her are not Nightwish. Tuomas is an absolute genius and Empuu is an awesome guitarist. I believe that both Tarja and Nightwish have suffered somewhat as a result of their separation. I like Annette, but she's not operatic.

I think Annette did a great job on Dark Passion Play and she has a great stage presence. I have talked with John Two Hawks about his End of an Era performance with Nightwish. He knows Annette now and seems to think that she's really a sweet person. Still, I've seen her fall flat on some of her live performances when she tried to improvise. It can happen. Annette is a good replacement since Tarja is gone. Still, when genius met genius (Tarja & Tuomas) wonderful things happened. I miss Tarja!
