Could not believe what I was hearing when this three white boys started rockin' the blues, at a small festival in my town, a few years ago. Then when they said they were from the Isle of Mann, I was really blown away!!! Have been a Robert Cray fan for years!!!
yea i saw them at battery park in burlington n it was amazing n i got rit up at the front to watch but had to leave when some crazy old man started a dancing pit! lol
Listen to that solo. How can you call that 120bpm mindless wank? On top of that, Robert Cray, last i checked, had a distorted tone on this song YOU TOOL.
On tonp of that, I defy you to come close to playing on davy's level.
its different, but by no means bad at all!!Davy is soooo like a young clapton, its not even funny....the only problem is that his only true competition is John Mayer. Theres others out there, but the fact that they can pull off these flawless covers in concert shows how flexible they are. I would like to hear some more distinctly rock stuff from them, not just the hendrix covers.
you really like question marks. I wouldn't go as far as saying hes a hack. hes a tremendous guitar player who is bringing blues to people that normally wouldnt find it.
You know what.. I'm a huge Cray fan and I love the original, but give these guys credit for doing a strong hard edge version of the song.. I think this band is fantastic and is going to go far. When's the last time you heard a 19 year old with such a poweful mature voice? and amazing guitar skills to boot? My favorite new artist for sure~
Davy Knowles has grown tremendously and moved on from his original unit and now resides in Chicago building a name throughout the US

I'm a big fan of Back Door Slam and the Robert Cray Band. That being said, I like the original version better.

I give them credit for attempting to play Robert Cray songs, and it's good playing wise but it doesn't even compare to the original.
Needs that spanky clean Cray guitar tone and tasteful solos, not 120 notes per minute mindless wank.

You're fucking retarded.

So shut your fucking mouth, you elitist pig.

As an old guitar player that never made
it big, I'm really happy for you guys!
Power trios have always been my favorite.
I grew up listening to Cream, Hendrix,
ZZ Top and later SRV like your parents.
Three piece bands are much tighter.
I'm going to share this video with YouTubers.
