The very least one should be expected to do in a democracy is to vote.

Have you not have ever seen the gigantic speculative insider trading days before 9/11? Where people were buying put options on banks and airlines?A jump in UAL (United Airlines) put options 90 times (not 90 percent) above normal between September 6-10. That is much more than a little speculation. Only in insider trading could that be possible.

@taledarkside Actually - Stocks weren't being bought and sold on American Airlines, but a record number of Put Options (a "bet" that a stock will fail) on American Airlines were purchased, so when the stocks fell in price, whoever bought those Put Options would still get the price negotiated for. Interestingly enough, those Put Options were never claimed. Someone knew what was going down and they got greedy. I'm guessing they fucked up and were told to not move on those Options or else...

Most Americans fathers taught there sons the importance of Good quality workmanship. What was done in the alte 80s, 90s and 2000s with cheap labor was no quality workmanship. If I was a benevolent dictator for a week or a year I would decree that private political campaign contributions are now illegal and severely punishable under the law. Elections would be entirely funded by tax revenue and the funds would be equally distributed among candidates. And voting would be mandatory. Anyone failing to vote would be fined oh say, $5000.00. The very least one should be expected to do in a democracy is to vote.

Of course, people like Jesse Ventura and people who make a living based on their verbal skills don't have to worry about someone taking their job because they agreed to a lower salary.
