  • @kiasta6984 Lol that's another reason I like it so much :)

  • Wait.....they said they would get him a job.....but they made him a fuckin' teacher, what the fuck kinda bullshit is that?!

  • Hilarious.

  • what's the name of the porno web designer Depac Shakur?

  • I have yet to find a school that will accept credits from devry,

  • i can promise you that the children of devry executives are most certainly NOT encouraging their children to attend the school they work for. maybe a devry degree would be help for a job such as an administrative assistant, but for more professional occupations the degree is pretty much frowned upon or laughed at. there are exceptions, such as the naturally-talented computer engineer who enrolls in devry, but overall the school is essentially a money-grubbing scam.

  • That big computer room was in the movie war games

  • OH MY GOD YOU GUYS ARE CONFUSEING ME IS DEVRY WORTH MY TIME OR NOT

  • @darthdragonking Get a 2 year degree from a community college before going to devry for your 4 year degree. This will save you a ton of money.

  • @darthdragonking

I am currently attending DeVry online. Even though it's pricey but it is in line with other college's out of state tuition.

The online option is great for me...I already am in a career and have a family.

I am learning, but I do miss the class room environment once in a while.

Just being enrolled at DeVry allowed me to get a promotion. So it's opening the doors for me in my current technical career already. I still have over a year left before I have my degree.

  • @6thMessenger get ready to pay about 30k to 40k for your associates and about 70k for a bachelors, worst school ever and the quality of what they teach you there is much worse than what you would be getting at a community college.

  • @darthdragonking I hope its not too late to reply to this comment, but whatever you do, DON'T go to DeVry or any other for-profit diploma mill. All you'll end up with is an ass load of debt & a worthless "degree". Google the website "ripoff report" & search for "DeVry" (or any other for-profit "college"). You'll have all the confirmation you need that avoiding this scam of a "college" is the right decision.

  • @typhoidX no its not too late i didnt evan get my ged yet but if its no good then i aint messing with it then

  • @darthdragonking I'm glad you didn't fall into that trap. Good luck with your GED & your future education. Stay on the lookout for those for-profit colleges w/ false promises of easy degrees.

  • @typhoidX thanks im not sure about college right now anyway

  • well i talked to this guy @ devry he called me @ like 730 i thought that was weird than we stayed on the phone 4 an hour 1/2 ..wow right well..after reading a lot of bad reviews i am not going to attend n he lied to me about the cost ..trying to make me pay the application fee.. he even gave me his cell number so i could call him on Saturday to give him my credit card info ..creepy .. but I called Temple university in philly they do accept devry credits if you wanted to transfer.

  • People what you put in a college is what you are going to get out if you are flipping burgers and went to a devry university its because of yourself not the school's fault

  • All the devry haters can have fun cleaning toilets as people work hard to get a quality education at devry. over 90% of graduates get jobs after they graduate IN THE FIELD OF THEIR DEGREE making close to $50k starting. Everybody I know who graduated from devry currently has a good job related to their degree.

  • @mlucasone

Yeah, 90% employed flippin' burgers. I've seen your name on these Devry forums before, always trying to defend your worthless, Mickey Mouse devry degree. Don't you find it interesting how you have to constantly defend your "degree?" You got scammed, bro. Face it.

  • @waterman1976 whats wrong with devry?

  • @waterman1976

How did I get scammed? I didn't pay a dime for the education that I am still working hard on. I'm pretty sure Devry doesn't offer a degree in 'flippin burgers' so how could that be a job in the field of their degree? Who makes $50k 'flippin burgers'? Just because you couldn't make it in the university world doesn't mean you have to try to get everyone else to give up on their educations. Just take your failure like a man and stop trying to bring others down with you.

  • Test

  • I graduated from DeVry and now I am working in at Burger King...

...writing software and server support for only $30/hr :(

Do you want fries with that?

  • @echaru I believe you. I graduated from university of phoenix and obtained a degree in dreaming about a fake life(much like you) and I am making over 3 million dollars a week

  • @terromus You are much more luckier than I am. I graduated from this low life DeVry U and I can't make as much as you do. I guess $30/hr is the most I can do right now :(

  • @echaru Oh what a shame

  • devry = 90.27% employed after graduation, flippin' burgers that is

  • Devry is a waste of 4 years

  • DeVry is so prestigious I hope I make the cut with their 100% acceptance rate. Everyone that graduates from the mighty DeVry is a success.

  • devry is for lazy ass losers who want Pseudo Credentials and phony degrees. Employers mostly know devry is a bullshit degree mill.

  • Department of Education figures for 2009 show that 44 percent of the students who defaulted within three years of graduation were from for-profit schools, leading to serious questions about one of the key pillars of the profit degree college movement: that their degrees help students boost their earning power.

  • DeVry sucks bad! When I graduated from DeVry, I only got a job offer for $60,000. What happen to my 6 figures?

  • Please tell me you're being sarcastic. 60K is freaking awesome. Most people probably only get around 40k after college. And that's seriously overshooting.

  • With experience of course. One of my friend from DeVry is making $60,000 at AEP being Engineering Technologist. Another one is making $70,000 working in some oil rig in the middle of nowhere.

  • @echaru

ONLY 60k? That;s a pretty good starting salary in any field

  • Dude, that's still a lot of money.

  • @echaru

your kidding me right thats awesome for starters

  • @echaru ur lying most of the people who grad. from devry dont even make more then 30k, dont try to act like 60k is bad, most people from devry would suck dick for that kind of income

  • @kc243243 Do you want a copy of my pay stub and my diploma? I only make $60,000 and that's why DeVry sucks!

  • @echaru yes i do please

  • @echaru

is that sarcasm, I graduated from Devry and I am making 80K a year.. If you suck at computers and programming you wont be making anything...

  • @echaru hahaha dont lie to yourself

  • @terromus I don't lie when I say DeVry sucks. I guess you are one of those DeVry's supporter.

  • @echaru no i mean you are a lying loser by acting like u made 60 gs your first year from graduating the second most failed college in the nation just shut up you fucking retard i doubt you even have a job if you graduated from devry.

  • @terromus I do feel sorry for making $60,000 in my first year of graduating from DeVry. If I know that I'll only make that much, I would not have gone to DeVry. I would have gone to other university that's not second most failed college.

  • does anyone have the devry commercial where the guy goes "GOTCHA, GOTCHA, GOTCHA" "TOAST,TOAST, TOAST"

    PLEASE!!!

  • @julesx416 That one is my favorite.

  • I go to Devry...teachers are great...people who talk crap about Devry prolly fail....lol

  • Yeah, I think you are right. We should just keep working hard and learning everything we can. Let them clean urinals, we have a real life to live.

  • @Swiftfox93 You posted this 2 years ago and I'm willing to bet you STILL work at Walmart for a living. Cheers!

  • CRT MONITORS? HNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGG

  • FACT: Devry University is accredited by the North Central Commission on Accreditation.

FACT: 96 of Fortune 100 companies hired Devry graduates from 2003 to 2008.

  • How can you downrate facts? These aren't opinions. Just because you failed out of college doesn't mean you gotta hate the school, maybe you need to improve your academic skills.

  • i have an aveage of 4.0 in devry and i left because the quality of education is really bad. i mean the community college i went before devry offer more of a challenge. all devry wants is your money just like anyother bussiness with out giving quality education

  • You must have a bad Devry. I have gone to 2 community colleges, and the education is the same. Except at Devry my teachers have PhDs where community colleges have masters. Devry teaches the same kind of algebra as Harvard.

  • are you stupid or something algebra is the same every where. i took cal. 224 in devry and cal 2 after in a community college i got an A on both ..only problem i only show up four time to my class in devry ...every thing was done in an obsolete computer program( every body share the same password so we did not have or own ..in the end i only pay 300 in community college and about 750 on devry same quality

  • We used the exact same textbook to learn algebra from at Devry that I used in community college.

  • Algebra? If you're having trouble learning algebra, you can't blame your text book. It's simple logic. If I were a school, I'd see the algebra book as a good way to save money.

  • dont put harvard in the same sentence as devry, if you went to harvard and failed you probably will make the same as some who graduated from devry with masters, this school is a joke, its like having a ged compared to an associates degree, just being accepted to harvard is way better then any degree at devry

  • YOU made my day. YOU said don't put Harvard in the same sentence the rest is epic. However i have a GED and its as not bad, plus compare to the high school system of today in the US.I'm in a community college studying social sciences concentrating in psychology.

  • @mlucasone "Devry teaches the same kind of algebra as Harvard" Bwahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!

  • All collages want your money.

  • @epicdrake Sum collujiz want yoo 2 spel kurrectlee.

  • You must have a poor Devry campus. People actually fail classes at my campus. I work hard and earn As.

  • yeah being janitors is still consider being hired. anyways they are just hire for low positions and is up to the graduate to expense more money get a masters in a real school. they should it gone to a nice university in the first place.

  • I've heard my boss say that he'd never hire anyone from Devry. I think he speaks for the majority of employers.

  • Comment removed

  • @waterman1976 sdfu now i know people who talk shit about DeVry is nothing but bullshits bitches who couldnt get anywhere...DeVry is a great school, depends what effort you put into studying, but once again that is determined in any school you go too

  • Phoney Degree=Phoney Job

  • i go to devry, i used to go to state university, got kicked out, and i dont know how to get back in to be honest. now i have no choice but to go to devry. sucks, for all you kids out there, dont fuck up in college like me, or else u end up going to devry.

  • but i dont really devry that bad, its the same if u were going to a 4 year college. it will only matter if you make it your goal to succeed in education, use all the resources devry has to offer. the classes are just faster, and its an all year round college, no breaks. i also like how organize devry is, very easy to understand and make schedules for yourself. plus, if people didnt think devry wasnt that good, why would people still be going there?

  • i meant to say was, not wasnt

  • and the only reason why devry charges so damn much is because they dont get funding from the states. devry is a private business, its not attached to government like more traditional colleges. governments give colleges more for students, devry doesnt recieve any money from the government. so thats why we need to pay for the amount that the government is not giving devry.

  • Stop wasting your money at DeVry for fucks sake, I guarantee you won't be getting any kind of decent job with a degree from there. You'd have better luck in a community college.

  • you know, i disagree with you. i think devry is just like any other college, only it cost more. ok, maybe devry isnt as good as harvard or yale, but you study hard and learn what is needed to learn to earn a degree, wouldnt it be the same as any other college? is long beach state better than say usc? if you study the "same" thing, and earn the "same" degree.

  • when i was at long beach state, i felt like my professors werent really even bothering to teach us anything, i didnt felt like they really knew what they were doing, plus they make us take all these bullshit classes that we dont even need. at devry, its more like a private school, they teach you everything you need to know, some profs. are actually from companies that worked in real stuff. the equipment are better, and the whole school system is very well organized, easy to follow.

  • well, anyways, i dont really care, as long as i can get a degree, get a job that pays fairly well(my classmates brother graduated from devry, he is making 70,000 in the navy as a electrical engineer). i will go back to a 4 year college get my second degree, and plus, i have others means to make money, not just from a job, so im happy with where i am right now.

  • What matters is what your potential employers think. You may, MAY, be getting a somewhat decent education at DeVry (I saw nothing from the staff or education system at DeVry during my 3 semesters there that would make me think you would) but if employers toss your resume as soon as they see that name, you'll have some trouble getting a job.

  • Plus, I got another e-mail from DeVry a month or so ago, they raised their prices again. I think it was ~500 dollars per class when I was there? What is it now, 600 per class? Do you really think you're getting your monies' worth?

You could get a better education at a cheaper price at a community college, and have the added bonus of not being turned down by employers for going to a "private" college, such as DeVry.

  • plus, i will go back to a traditional college after devry and get another degree. i have a good plan, but just need to do it now.

  • I just don't want to see anyone get screwed over by the bad name of DeVry on their diploma. DeVry and other "private" colleges do have a bad reputation with a lot of companies, regardless of the quality of education they give you.

  • You'll still have to pay for utilities, car bills, and some day, maybe children. So in my opinion you should go to a college that won't be scoffed at, where you'll learn as much or more than you will at DeVry. As well as racking up probably $5000.00 less debt than you would at DeVry. But I guess it's up to you what to do with your life.

  • True about that! Community college its way much cheaper.

  • in a way u are right, but i know alot of people who wnet to these type of schools that have good jobs. but anyways, i dont really need a high class job just enough to make as much as i need to do something else that will make me more money. my parents own 3 homes in huntington beach, ca. their going to give ma brother and and i each a home, so dont need to buy a home or pay mortgages. my plans go another direction then what other people may do.

  • How do you get into Devry.............open the door. Hilarious thanks family guy!!!!!!!!!!

  • DeVry is accredited by the North Central body of accredidation- the same body that accredits University of Michigan and every other mid-western school. Its not for everyone, but in New Jersey, the professors are great, the staff is supportive and the education here has graduated over 50,000 students since 1969 who have contributed much to many economies in the area. Say what you want- but facts are facts.

  • Go to DeVry's New Jersey website to see the employment statistics for grads in the Career Services section.

  • yo is this a real commercia? its so funny but it looks real

  • LOL and is his name Tupac Shakur because thats what the guy says.

  • this commercial makes me so angry......

  • Agreed

  • About my personal DeVry experience> They didn't even have enough working computers for all the students. Financial problems at the time from what our deans told us & asked us to take another course for the semester. I left just in time to get a reliable education at a state college & now have a dependable job & my Master's I earned not just a paid for degree from a for profit institute. My straight A credits weren't even accepted by the college because of DeVry's reputation.

  • I feel your pain. All Devry gave me was a bill, and it included thousands of dollars for room/board which I didn't use and had to go through a long process of disputing, not to mention that the credits are worthless (a degree from them isn't acceptable in New York or by many leading companies) and the students fresh from high school know more than the teachers. Worst "college" ever; they're a bunch of bunco artists pretending to provide an education while robbing the loan system in the open.

  • Anyone that has been there more than a semester and can't see the problem... eh, you probably belong there =P

  • @Truthiness231 omg that is sooooooooooo true

  • @Truthiness231 God so it's not just me feeling that I'm wasting my time at this school!

  • @vexion15 Yeah not just you (but thankfully you're at least average or higher intelligence, as you spotted it ^.^).

It's not a total waste, as many properly accredited schools accept the credits, which means you can transfer before you get your degree and get it from a proper school. Literally any are better: Ivy league > State > Community > GED > Other Diploma Mills Besides Devry > Devry (to those that say it's unfair to compare Devry to a mill: at least the mill only charges you once for it)

  • @Truthiness231 The thing that really gets me about this commercial is that this dude says they were gonna get him a job...but they turned around and made him a teacher :/

  • @vexion15 If you're still attending, ask some of the others that work there: my experience was EVERYONE that worked there (at least that I ask or was told by them) was a former student of the school. I'm not saying DeVry only gets people work by recruiting them, but it is the only group of people I know that have a job with a degree from there.

Anyway, the sad truth is: any employer who doesn't care where your diploma came from and accepts DeVry would also accept a fake one from a cheap mill =/

  • @Truthiness231 I was watching an episode of Roseanne and her husband Dan said, "I hear DeVry is a good institute..." and the audience started laughing...I think I got the joke however I'm not really sure

  • @vexion15 Why would you ever willingly watch roseanne?

  • @kiasta Because if you're overly negative and sarcastic like me then Roseanne is the best show to watch cause it fits my personality...

  • gargantubrain is so scared when someone makes a negative comment that he Spams it so people don't know the truth . Only shows You Tubers the truth about DeVry tactics to mislead hard working students who need top rated educations today that they cannot provide at most of their locations. You're right in every way calling them a scam. *****

  • desertflower,

Everyone knows that trade/tech schools are a ripoff. That is no secret. It is best to go to Jr. College if you don't have the grades or money for a University. At least you will know that your credits can transfer into a University and you cut 2 years off of getting your bachelors. DeVry, ITT and the Art's Institute are not good choices.

  • DeVry executives got their Real Educations at Harvard, Stanford or Princeton. Obviosly well off people.. It's posted on the business pages as well as their huge salaries. They wouldn't have their 6 figure salaries with an education from DeVry nor will they need to send their own children to DeVry. They'll just keep ripping off students who believed their false promises & ads that DeVry is capable of providing a reliable college education for a decent career. State colleges are much better.

  • Your 're right on Canada1. I left them years ago shortly realizing how they run their school like a poorly run business not an educational facility. I earned my a Master's Degree at a local state college & now have a dependable job. Others students have mentioned the same about DeVry's tactics & false ads. Thanks for keeping everyone alert about DeVry. Not all colleges accept DeVry credits knowing their reputation. But someone told me to just leave before I got in over my head & I'm glad I did.

  • I question that thought of this being real O_o

    Looks to fake.

  • No shit, Sherlock.

  • lol devry

  • A degree from DeVry is a joke in the corporate world and it will limit your ability to be promoted. I work for a large utility in Ohio and cleared 80K last year with my degree, so I won't bitch too much. DeVry is like any school, you will get what you want out of its program.

  • Shut the fuck up. I love youtube's new audio preview hahaha

I should try to comment more.

  • haha. is this the LB location. haha. FUNNY azz commercial.

  • thay made a joke about devry on family guy

  • GOD FUCKING DAMNIT i hate devry. I love how its costing me 30k to get an associates.

  • DeVry charges $325 per credit hour for classes. Just got off the phone with them actually- I applied with them. Now I'm afraid with all that I'm reading that I made a mistake. Now I'm looking into Art Institute of Atlanta and ITT Tech- both accredited!

  • u made a mistake i used to go there ..

  • Actually canceled my app with them two days later and am going to another state school now-- I've heard to much bad about DeVry!

  • showmethelight : I've read the Art Institute of Atlanta is better than ITT Tech which runs their facility similar to DeVry. High tuition like DeVry too. Just get out of DeVry before you regret it having to repay the high costs & their degree is not accepted by many reputable corporations either.

  • Try Nichols College in MA online,London School of Economics - Distance Learning in UK

  • devry a joke

  • Go Ahead, insult this univ. all you want, it is not Harvard, Stanford, or other big schools. Yet it gives people who do not live off their parents a chance. I thought you liberals want to make life easy for everyone. I guess that is BS. You people are elitest scum. Too bad most people cannot fall back on mommy and daddy, and have to find another way. I earned a degree from DeVry and now I make over 150,000 a year, so Fuck You you elitest scum! Some of us do not have rich parents to leach off of.

  • are you stupid or something, this school is not for everyone... this school is not for smart or talented people ..this school is for lechers who live out of the government(fafsa)and have a minimal credit difference for those who have to pay their college is a bad choice. anyways, the DeVry i talk about is the one with pathetic teachers and education. its not the same as before. now they only appreciate ur money not your education.

  • Comment removed

  • SHUT THE FUCK UP!

  • Actually, people who attend Devry are students who want to get an education without all the typical University BS. 3 years to get a degree instead of 5 or 6...and yes, it takes most dolts 6 years because they're too busy partying instead of learning at a typical university.

  • Boo Blue Collers

  • People who go to Devry are those who cannot get accepted into graduate admissions at a regular and accredited university. What they fail to realize is that when it comes time to graduate, nobody is going to give them a real job with good pay.

  • "People who go to Devry are those who cannot get accepted into graduate admissions at a regular and accredited university."

DeVry is accredited. It's a "technical" school. It isn't a public school that pumps you full of left wing communist agenda.

"What they fail to realize is that when it comes time to graduate, nobody is going to give them a real job with good pay."

    $80k/year isn't bad with a DeVry degree. ;-)

  • That's a load...first off your statement doesn't take into account a bachelors. So you're saying, if someone gets a degree from Depaul University, then decides to get a graduate degree from Devry that they would not get a good job. Wow....much experience in the world I see.

And the other left wing/communist agenda comment, haha COME ON we beat the Reds already remember! Don't they teach history at Devry! haha

  • Great point QuarrelingAge, it is one of the Universities that does not have a liberal anti-American agenda. Most colleges, love to preach hate and how this country is evil, even though the very freedoms they enjoy are given to them by this evil country. Let them go somewhere else and see if they have the same freedoms.

  • dUM shit.... That is not a "fact" that is your opinion and doesn't matter! That applies to any university U dumm fuck..Unless U got mommy and daddy pulling strings 4 U :)

  • lol The King Of Queens made fun of DeVry. hahaha :-p Here in Canada, Westervelt College is the same way. Their piece of paper after you graduate is almost useless. Save your time and money, folks. (UWO - University of Western Ontario)!!!!!!

  • "My son got into Devry." "What did he have to do, open the door?"

  • "You can't let me have this on thing can you"?

  • I made a type-o sorry.

  • famly guy...

  • all you bitches suck. i bet all you homos are mad because you couldn't even get into this "piece of shit school" Sucks being special ed doesn't it you fucking losers.

  • I'll keep my master's from a real university, TYVM.

BTW, how many of your profs are DeVry grads? How many girls are in your classes? Is the campus really all in one building?

  • ^^ Just one. Me. All the others are in the business programs here. But I'm not really seeing how the number of girls in a classroom increases its educational worth.

  • Yeah its worth it! i'm a guy and currently attending DeVry... there is lots of females attending.

  • hahahahahaha

    Awesome job

  • XMFD

  • No they are right. Devry offers a low level of education. They do not have real engineering tittles, they are maintenance tittles. All of their degrees are worthless.

  • DeVry isn't just online you dumb shit! LMAO

I go to DeVry in Irving and it is very professional. Did you know the President of DeVry is the creator of John Madden football games? Get facts before you try to put down a University you fuckin hillbilly.

  • Which president? Dave Pauldine, President of DeVry, Inc started out in DeVry admissions in 1979. The president of the Irving campus has worked in student services for his entire career. They're not programmers or developers. And why in the hell would a badass software developer take the kind of pay cut necessary to work as an administrator at a for-profit college? Check your own facts.

  • Nice use of google nerd. Anybody can do that.

  • Oh, prince of irony! Let me count the ways!

    1. Flaming my use of a common search tool to - let me quote you correctly - "Get facts before [I] put down a University," when you yourself had none.

    2. The nick "HoeDown99" calling someone else a "hillbilly."

    3. You actually believed the sales/admissions rep about the "President of DeVry" developing a popular video game. I wonder what equally ridiculous lies he told people last year when he sold cars.

    4. You pay ~$500/credit hour for your classes.

  • Lol you go to DeVry way to waste your time man try a real school next time.

  • One of the worst online schools, it's hard to say between it and Pheonix University Online. Welcome to the 21st century method of buying your degree online! X/

  • What if I transfer to a good school after going to one of these crappy schools? Will that work?

  • There's nothing wrong with devry, but the credits are not transferable.

  • Really. How do you know?

Im not being a smart ass. I really am curious.

  • Before I even considered going to Devry I ask other schools if they accept credits from Devry they said no,followed by "devry is not accredited." So instead I went to a regular school just to have the option.

  • Thank you.

  • i think its because each class is like 2 months. in a regualr college, its like up to 5 months.

  • Devry fucking sucks, i hate this plays. do not come to this fucking school, WARNING!!
