  • Nice Video, I am going to RR Days tomorrow [ 9/19/09] with some guys from Galesburg.

  • Yeah, it's a great program. I did it when I was either 12 or 13. Got the RS-3.

  • are you referring to the ex GB&W/KBSR unit (308) with the chopped nose? KBSR runs right past my house, driven/rode that unit along with the 301 (RS11) and 315(Alco C420) several times. got to love it when you know engineers =)

shame they use GP40's now =(

  • No, I'm referring to the Illinois Central #704 that they have at the museum.

  • Show this to CSX! They should learn from thier excessive horn and bell crap, especially along the Granite sub where there are four blasts on the Leslie Airhorn mounted somewhere under the train.Good video, slow that bell down!

  • dude there is too many people talking at once i cant hear a word he says

  • Yeah, there were 5 people in the cab which was another unexpected thing about Throttle Time. This video was the sort of training session for Chuck to understand what he was supposed to do. None of the experience was exactly what we expected but it was okay.

  • im a member there he should of run the 6789 mli fpar is better than a old rebiult gp-9 chop nose

  • We were under the impression that the Milwaukee Road 1649 would be running for Throttle Time and that's what Chuck really wanted to operate. The IC was a bit of a momentary disappointment but we plan to go back when the 1649 is operational. Thanks for your comment.

  • Oh, I'd kill to run the FPA-4!

  • You guys are lucky to be able to do that!
