@RustyShacklefeird and Saleens are light?.... Ok so a 96 saleen is 3375lbs... A 96 VR4 is about 3900lbs lol That's only 600 pounds difference lol that would be like a heavy weight going up against a light weight... But the heavey weight has faster hands. :D

@AshyBoneVR4 3900lbs is a little high unless your talking about the vr4 spyder which is the heaviest version out there. 3375lbs is a lightweight car especially now a days. The new Ford SHO is like 4150lbs and the doors on cars are Massive anymore, probably because most Americans are fatties and need the extra room just to get in. lol.

@RustyShacklefeird Na man unfortunatly stock vr4's are about 3800lbs give or take a few 50 pounds. Thanks for the nice words though lol. The earlier modes especially since they had the active aero, active exhaust, pop up headlights and all that wiring and motors. I can run out to my vr4 real quick (its a 91) and double check but I'm 98% sure that for the weight of the vehicle it says something stupid like 4155. But yes the Spyders are heavier by a couple hundred pounds.

I bet the mustang has more imported parts on it than the VR-4, no wonder they have such a quality control issue with them. I'm glad mine is made in Kentucky, 100%. Anyway, back to the mens department, hey VR-4, I think you've outgrown the little boys section, time to come to the mens department.

@ZR1KOH i dont even know how to respond to your comment. i cant tell if your trying to make cuts at ford or what. well anyways i guess il go back to my VR-4 forums and you can go back to your Chevy forums where you can blog about how Chevy motors constantly starve the upper half of their engines of oil, roll their cam shafts flat, have non working distributors and hide common parts like the alternator Way back in the motor so its a bitch to replace. because the guys at chevy are so damn smart.

nice vid for sure....the top-end of the VR4 started to pull pretty hard....the Saleen Eaton blower was probably heat soaked to the MAX.....prob lost a few psi by 120

cool, I also have a black 97 vr4. Mine has rebuilt shortblock with stock turbos still. I have 3sx downpipe and no cats with greddy profec boost controller. I need better turbos. I enjoyed the video, thanks for posting

@97vr4black I thought supporting mods for 15g's were 550cc injectors and a supra fuel pump. Good race though, I didnt realize that v6's could get better top end than v8's.

@HilandboyUSD they don't, the v6 just out modded the stang, not sure if that is a real saleen also because many ppl just put bodykits on stock GT's, a saleen with pulley and gears should be a good mid/high 12 second car with a really strong top end

Thanks for watching. And 4 the boost the car ran 10 lbs stock and I turned it up to 13. Now I'm blowing out the spark so I put it back down 2 stock. Now I'm just waiting on the front mount and msd dis-4 and I just want 2 keep it around 15 lbs I wound be happy. Thanks guys 4 watching
