whenever i hear this, strange circus comes to mind. that movie was so crazy but at the same time, it was so well done and only something that sion sono could do and he did it amazingly. story and everything including the music chosen. because of that film, i had to know who composed one of the main themes and now i know, i can always go back and think about how truly amazing this and that film are.

I know, but how incongruent are the music and the scene. The music is obviously serene (or divine if you like) but the scene where it was inserted is filled with passion and lust.

I listened to cello, flute, harpsicord, bass solo, Glenn Gould, or just orchestra... so many version. This Bach Arioso is really versatile. You can play it poetic or playful, grand or petite. Bach is great!
