Great music! As for the video, well it's good to see that they didn't spend too much of the Licence fee on it.

Nice to see some glimpses of those great players of the past. MoTD would be far more interesting if they filled the whole show with them rather than the overpaid primadonnas that populate the Premiership.

All players featured in the intro have played in the English top league. I have just checked it. Also, they are not actors, it is previous footage with current footage enhanced over it.

@SuperARandall David Beckham used to play for Man Utd, that's why he's in it. There's no such thing as the Premier League FA Cup Final; there's the Barclays Premier LEAGUE and the FA Cup. Chelsea won the league last season, and also won the FA Cup which is a knockout tournament.

Why on earth would it only show players from the prem era? MOTD has no loyalty or direct affiliation with the PL, only the rights to show top flight football. Only Sky seem insistant on erasing history, MOTD quite rightly pays homage to it's past.
