  • My son has Autism, he could never tolerate the radio on or music, we started work with him when he was 2. Anyway one day when he was in the gardenI put on a cd, he came running in and started dancing, he asked who it was and I said, "that's Elvis" he was singing Susppicious Minds. We eventually went to Graceland where my son was made hugely welcome. Elvis opened the door to a wonderful world of music to my son, he has recovered very well.

  • amazing video! thank you for sharing this... it just shows ELVIS angelic side of his wonderful soul.

  • At the time this movie was made, in the late 1960's, the "rage reduction" therapy for autistic children was under scrutiny. This scene of the film helped to show how important it was to never give up with autistic children. The full scene, not shown in it's entirety here, has Dr. Elvis hugging and holding the child, against her will, for many hours, until she finally breaks out of her shell.....brilliant!

  • Well done to you Brother for bringing this out ..*****

  • My son is Autistic, life has always been very difficult for him. Thanks so much for the making of this video, makes you see you are not alone when at times you think you are. A very moving video to help raise awareness, thanks Phyllis for sharing it with me :-) xx

  • A Touching Message This Should Be Shared Around

  • A touching video, we are all here on this earth to help each other...

  • Great message here Phyllis. I watched an American documentary a couple of weeks ago about a couple who had boy with autism and they finally cured him with a horse and now they´ve started a school for young kids with autism. Animals and especially horses they can ride and take care of obviously make them talk again.

  • Fantastic video, this is absolutely wonderful. Thank you so much for posting & Angel for sharing.

  • You have put to the world how Elvis Presley loves children in real life, not just as a character on screen. Really appreciate how even the brief clip you uploaded displays how love and "holding on" works. I must now view CHANGE OF HABIT one more time because I did not have in mind prior to now that I should watch for why the child was angry and had shut down.

  • Great post Alan ;)

  • This Is Beautiful
