She is Great! I saw her and Martha Reeves and the Vandellas,Myrtle Beach, 1968. The Vandellas had a big fat drummer, whos ass covered the stool. He was drinking,about halfway through the set he fell off the stool, passed out, another man picked up the sticks and kept on playing. Man, what a night. Darlene just keeps getting better. Love you girl.

I just hung up a pic of me with Darlene yesterday-taken in NYC when I played Stagedoor Johnny after seeing her in Hairspray in the summer of 2007. Have had the pleasure of meeting up 3 times with her-great talent and nice lady. Hard to believe she's been recording for 45 years and that Elvis' comeback featuring Darlene and the Blossoms was 40 years ago!
