Because the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Canada told them he was a terrorist. To be fair both the Americans and the Canadians have their hand in this one. Why ANY country for ANY reason would extradite ANY CITIZEN to Syria of all countries I think is my concern here. Arar is a big story in Canada, and many Canadians are very angry with the US over this issue.
