I don't think we should support any side over there. The European Jews took the land from a group of Arab-Jews and Arab-Muslims who lived there quite happily. We should not take sides in a conflict between people looking to take land (European Jews) and people looking to free themselves from oppression (the 'terrorists' as the media calls them).

Jews have lived in and around modern Israel for all of its history. The Arabs are from Arabia, not the levant. They showed up and conquered it from the Romans during following the Romans Pyrric victory over the Persians in the 7th century.

WRONG, I think you need to research history. Today we call many people Arabs including the Canaanites and the Phoenicans. In 800 BC that area was a part of the Assyrian Empire. Today we would call Assyrians, Arabs. Jews may have lived in the area in small numbers but they didn't have a nation. In 1947 there were only 12,000 Jews living in what is now Israel.

I need to research my history? This is probably the most uninformed post I have ever seen. No neither the Assyrians, nor the Canaanites, nor the Phoenicians were Arabs. You just cannot claim that everybody who was not Jewish in the history of the Middle East was Arabic. To this day the Assyrians are considered a separate ethnic group in Iraq. Finally there were about a half million Jews living in what is now Israel in 1947.
