  • Nice :)

  • Very NICE.... thanks 4 sharing.... ENJOYED!! I sent U mine...

  • Top job that, Matthew. Seems 10 people hate Autumn. I could easily see this on one of my videos. Hmmm. Cheers! Thanks for sharing.

  • HOT!

  • Wow, I haven't checked my YouTube account in ages. I'm glad you enjoyed my cousin's video because I'm really liking this. Nice work.

  • Nice... original!!!!

  • very very nice 好動聽

  • Really nice work. Rags.

  • great!

    good feeling.

  • very nice interpretation...thanks for sharing : )

  • beautiful interpretatiom

  • Nice energetic interpretation. I could sing to this:)

  • nice ^^ good :)))

  • I liked the jazzy version. You definitely have an ear and talent for this very complex composition and it all falls in place nicely. I felt like snapping my fingers Bravo.

  • Great version, nice style!

  • this is incredible! but just some advice: this song is supposed to be a relaxing peaceful song and I think it would be better on a real piano than a keyboard.

but other than that this is beautiful.

    ~LaMuSiQuE565

  • @LaMusique565 I disagree. The original, back in the 60's, was a relaxing, peaceful arrangement by Roger Williams. However, songs are meant to be re-arranged. I've heard it many different ways. Check out the great pianist Bill Evans. I recorded it as a slow Bossa but at concerts I play it as an upbeat Samba. It's all good.

  • Wow man. You've got some skills!

    Beautiful <3

  • beautiful

  • awsome ~ perfect play ~ ! nice Bro

  • Beautiful playing. Very nice. Thanks for sharing.

  • sehr schön, very nice

  • Very nice!!!

  • check out Miles Davis version of this tune you'll get more lines down but keep it up !

  • Nice interpretation. The keyboard sounds OK, but I agree with the other comments that U really want to be on a Grand --- especially in the beginning.

  • @SingerForLife3000 Thanks! - the sound actually has nothing to do with the keyboard - it's the hum from the amps. In fact, my Roland has its sound sampled from a Steinway.

  • Nice playing. However, the piece is supposed to be romantic

(one of the all time great romantic songs, as sung for example

    by Nat King Cole)

and somewhat sad so jazzing it up doesn't convey the meaning of the

    original.

  • @eaglespike4312 The piece is romantic enough in the beginning. To be honest, how many times can we musicians play the same thing as everyone else is playing? It gets very boring to be doing the same thing over and over again. That's why it's an interpretation, not Autumn Leaves all by itself. And interpretation is the meaning I'm conveying here. Thanks for watching!

  • @MatthewMatician I could not agree with you more. Why do the same song as everyone else. Listen to Ledisi's take on this song and then listen to Rachelle Ferrell's. they are both completely unafraid to do it in their own way. Kudos to you for being a real musician.

  • Sounds so Bluesy ;-)

  • nice. have you had classical training? did you go to college for music?

  • love your rendition Matthew....lots of color and depth....and that tempo change is tops!...will be back for more :--)

  • nice version.like it.

  • very nice...I like your bluesy imrov.

  • Oh, I like it, you feel it !

  • Really excellent! Are you local to the San Fernando Valley? How did you find out about us to send it here?

  • Killer, lovin the heavy blues feel.... Rahsaan would be proud

  • very good playing! you should be in a restaurant or fancy hotel somewhere playing like that! :-)

  • very good!

  • Nice Play

  • Very Good, Mattew !

    Best regard.

  • Nice one Matthew. Liked it more when you picked the pace up and stopped using the same lick all the time.

Now play it in the right key - you cheat :)

  • Great use of Stride Piano patterns, with a cool bluesy feeling to it !!! :)

  • Fabulous technique. This is one of my favorite songs. I handwhistle this song accompanied by a jazz pianist up on my channel. It is audio only that we played together at his church and I recorded our "session" on a cassette tape. The pianist's name if Mark Sobol. My video is titled "HandwhistlerBen and Mark Sobol live-Audio Only. Besides that, Mark has several videos of his incredible playing up as well. His playing and yours are similar. He will enjoy yours and you will enjoy his.

  • That was awesome! Keep it up!

  • cool video, well played........kind regards...Ronnie Beal.

  • Great! I have a Roland-300 SX pretty similar to yours. Your keyboard sounds great and your playing is amazing. Best Solo Autumn Leaves Interpretation i've heard and I like the Jazz in it.

  • It is played the jazz with a piano! splendid!

  • WOW!

  • Nicly done. Good piano tone on that keyboard.

  • Great job! I loved it!

  • Very nice playing.

  • fantastic!!! I love it!

  • Really good job, great interpretation

  • Matthew you sound wonderful. Keep playing young man because it's all about keeping jazz alive.

  • you did a really good job with this jazzz-standard.

    Well done !

  • Simply lovely and Amazing. Thanks for sending this video to me!

But the drum-beat really destroys it. As it is a drum machine and do not have the spirit of a real drummer, it just feels like annoying background noise and destroys all that you are playing. Next time: either you leave out the drums, or make a complete arrangement with composed/arranged drums and a jazz-bass.

But forgetting about the drums, you are one astonishing pianist! Keep it up!

    -W-

  • Nice man. It would sound terrific on a grand. Huge technically hard piece. :)

  • @Vdimura thank you! - the camera was just too close to the keyboard and there was hum from the amps.

In a large hall, the keyboard sounds like any other grand!

  • Very nice indeed!

  • Thanks for sharing this. You should try playing in a jazz bar, if you're not already doing so!

  • How long have you been playing the piano ?

  • @TheMrChamallow around 12 years or so

  • OOOOOOOOOH ! Impressive !!! I love it !

  • Great

  • @gloheart1 thank you - have a great weekend as well.

  • @MatthewMatician bom demais parabens,... swing 100% bluezzistico... abraçao !!!

  • Thanks! I love that arrangement. I will think of making another videoclip of my photos with your version of Autumn Leaves.

  • That started off really good and just got better and better and better and better!

Excellent Matty, right up my street mate!

  • beautiful version!

  • Just amazing! Congrats, I'm stunned

  • piano playing is very reliable, the touch tone is very beautiful in the hearing

  • @deny19730221 thank you
