This illusion is fairly difficult to see but once you do, it's amazing. Focus on the rotation of the rod, it appears to continually rotate in 1 direction while the window appears to reverse direction, causing the illusion that the rod passes through the window.

Apparently your brain has to have some sort of reference or memory to refer to... So you have to see the object of the illusion to comprehend it... And I'm pretty sure you've seen one before, so I guess it has something to do with the way the brain processes information, but hey, I'm not an expert, just tend to read too much ^^'

Both are happening at once. Because a camera can only see two-dimensionally, it sees the window spinning both ways, then chooses which one it wants to create in your head. If you see it spinning one way, you're down to earth.
