  • I <3 Megadeth

  • 2 things:

    1) Nick Menza looks like the sort of guy who i wouldn't be surprised if he spontaneously turned into a werewolf...

    2) i just figured out what 'youthanasia" is an alteration of.

  • I don't listen to this album anymore. I bought Rust in Peace and Peace Sells and I'm quite happy.

  • Not being gay but Nick Menza was a very good looking dude. Seen him recently anyone?

  • @1madaboutguitar LOL, is true! :B

  • @1madaboutguitar He's been a drug addict. Part of the reason he was kicked out, for smoking meth I believe.

  • @Megadedly I thought he was kicked out because of an injury.

  • Hail storm 1:58

  • just by the tone of it, I knew that marty was using a strat on train of consequences. Pretty recognizable tone

  • at 0:54 David Ellefson better watch out or he'll get hit by the Train of Consequences

  • Megadeth's Black Album

  • /watch?v=A1KdkQv0FfI

  • People decoupling music on comerical (as bad) and underground (as good and true) are really so stupid that they don't even realize what music is all about.

  • Youthanasia was pretty much the end of Megadeth.

  • Nick used to look fucking cool, now he looks like shit. hes still a beast though

  • ive always thought that nick is better than lars, or am i wrong?

  • @jedsebastian your right

  • @jedsebastian Menza is better than everybody, specially than lars

lars is a tennis player, not a drummer

nick menza is a badass drummer

  • That's funny. Marty would drink coffee off of that guitar? I bet it costs more than my car.

  • 2:08

    ...hahaha i love these drums

  • Best megadeth lineup

  • Doesnt Nick Menza kinda look like Kirk Hammet

  • @babadef

hhmm yeah, but Nick is hotter

  • @babadef Yeah he kinda does hahaa

  • i wish nick was back in the band :/

  • Youthanasia is not commercial. And i more prefer Megadeth than /Metallica..

  • I think too much is always put on bands for saling out. That's stupid. I play n as a musician you like to expand your ideas

  • @hicksroadstyle Thats true, but why expand to SELL more albums. Why not do it for the MUSIC?

  • I really miss marty friedman as guitarrist in megadeth, i really love his work and man, he can really play a guitar.. Chris Broderick is really gr8 but i think marty was the best megadeth guitarrist.. except for dave of course

  • at 3:30 dave Mustaine looks like my guitar teacher...

  • LOOKING for this whole dvd?? HELP?

  • Haha., "Cactus Ass" studios

  • I really wished Menza would follow the rhythm of the guitars instaed of the bass with his double bass pedal in Train of Consequences

  • Train of Cosequences Marty Recorded with a Strat??? That's cool lol

  • I like thi lineup of Dave Mustaine, David Ellefson, Marty Friedman and Nick Menza. When that happened in the future. The crowd will get roar of this.

  • One of there greatest albums...w/the greatest line up.Rust in peace kicked major ass also!!!

  • More of the master musician/genious of Dave Mustaine!

  • you could drink coffee off of that guitar...

  • I hate the fucker who disliked this

  • @soadratmetc

    there are two fuckers... :(

    I love this!!

  • very cool, thanks for posting this

  • Lol Nick Menza's smile at the end!

  • "notice everybody has to change there stuff but me" ha gotta love dave

  • "happy blowing in the wind" .nice

  • LOL "Don't tell anybody but I actually recorded a song on this album with a guitar that doesn't have a cool shape." Love Marty Friedman.

  • Nick menza is such a sick drummer, one of my fuckin idols, i'm into all kinds of metal far more extreme than this, but his groove and style is just beyond so many other drummers, fucking LOVE it (y)

  • The David's are back together forever

  • Happy hangin' babies.

  • What is the song which Marty plays at 02:27?

  • lolll "looks goofy as all hell"

  • @dudeurgonna well, it did, lol! I mean, it had no headstock!

  • This album must be listen for hours and hours without end...

  • I thank metallica everyday for kicking Dave out. Dave's talent would have went to waste with them.

  • @MUSTAINEisyourGOD you should tell that to Dave man. Maybe he will stop bitchin for being kicked out like he has for the last 20 plus years!

  • @MUSTAINEisyourGOD I think so too :) and besides, without him being kicked out of metallica there would be no megadeth! And that would be aweful!

  • @MUSTAINEisyourGOD If Mustaine stayed, Lars would've gotten kicked out though. You know what that means? That means a better drummer, Cliff wouldn't have died, and Metallica would have more potential to staying closer to their roots than what they are now.

  • @MUSTAINEisyourGOD You are absolutely correct. I thanks Metallica every single day because this!

  • @MUSTAINEisyourGOD Yes sir!!!!!!!

  • @MUSTAINEisyourGOD Well said!

  • @MUSTAINEisyourGOD he sucks his balls. he sings like he's constipated and his guitar skills leave alot to be desired.

  • marty orgasm 2:33

  • this is the album that megadeth started running away from metallica musically masterpiece love youthanasia

  • what song is at 3:12

  • Fender Jazz Bass. The bass mio uses. :F

  • "there all hangin' happy n blowin in the wind!" lmao

  • poland suited megadeth better than friedman, his rhythm was amazing!

  • Dave mustaine would disagree with you

  • @ChuckPaulsen658

You seem to know what you're talking about, what song are they playing in the beginning?

  • A Toute le Monde

  • Thanks man, I'm a recent Megadeth disciple and I'm just getting into them.

  • poland didnt contributed anything to the writing..

  • Poland was a very soulful guitar player. I think that all the guitarists in Megadeth have played well.

  • Comment removed

  • Has anyone ever noticed that in commentaries like this and in videos and live performances on TV, etc. that Ellefson is kinda thrust into the background?

  • I have not really noticed that.

  • This lineup was the best! Period.

  • I like all of Megadeth's albums, because I don't limit myself to liking things.

  • ever notice the quality of the lyrics overall?

and that mustaine actually sings, instead of raging in tune.

not groundbraking like the first thrash albums but still a great mature heavy metal record, very classy!

actually, for me, the last great megadeth record!

  • Lol @Marty. What a goofball

  • 1. Peace Sells

    2. Rust in Peace

    3. So Far, So Good, So What

    4. Countdown to Extinction

    5. Youthanasia

    6. Killing is My Business

This was the list of the best megadeth abuns when Youthanasia came out. It is a great album, but it's far from beeing their best

  • I Disagree with you (it is just your opinion). In a way Youthanasia is their most melodic and the most sophisticated album...

true is, I prefer their period with Marty Friedman over others...so for me Youthanasia + Countdown the Extinction + RIP are their best albums...

  • I'm a huge Marty Friedman fan, but when he got in the the band, megadeth begined to loose agressiveness. And Chris Poland is a brilliant guitar player. For me Peace Sells is still their best album. It's 35 minutes of pure genius

  • Dont you think - chris broderick?

Well I prefer melodic thrash over "punk" thrash metal...so thats why I like these albums more then others...the same for metallica - I prefer MoP, Black Album, AJF or RTL over Kill Em All by hundred miles...

  • I really meant Chris Poland. I don't really like Chris Broderick. Both Poland and Friedman were better. I guess we agree to disagree, i like agressive and fast thrash metal and you prefer the more melodic stuff. It's cool

  • Youthanasia is the second best album from megadeth =]

  • Youthanasia is fucking GREAT. Commercial or not.........NUFF SAID.

  • @verminslayer

Yeah, 90s Megadeth (apart from "Risk") is a hell of a lot better, than his previous band's 90s work! !

  • @SinisterManiac Very very true. Metallica fucking sucked in the 90s, only like 80s tallica. But Megadeth on the other hand, i like all of it except Risk and The World needs a Hero

  • @TheCorruptionlives Recipe For Hate...Warhorse is kick ass though.

  • @pulseimages Yes , Recipe for hate..Warhorse was a ver well done song, I do like a couple Worls needs a hero songs. 1.) Recipe for hate...Warhorse 2.) When 3.) Silent Scorn 4.) Return to Hangar ( is OK but Hangar 18 kills the sequel)

Other than those, the first 6 tracks are not that good at all,, too mainstreamy for me, as well with the rest of em i left out besides the 4 I like.

  • Megadeth rules and although he is an awesome drummer- Menza is a tool

  • WTF does commercial mean??

To me it means doing something that a lot of other people are doing and choosing to do that same thing... If anyone thinks this album or any megadeth album sounds like that they better get their ears checked LOL

  • Well,if you compare this to their 1st 4 albums and you don't see a difference in sound then YOU must get your ears checked...Definitely more accessible and radio friendly!!!

  • @XDoomriderX Commercial means they are doing it for the money, whatever will sell. and yes that means doing what the mainstream artists are doing. Countdown was the beginning of the Megadeths " radio friendly" era. which lasted for about next 9 years really. From 92' to 01' even The system has failed was more Rock than Metal. But as you see, mainstream is out now. Last two albums were very good . "I do like Countdown to Cryptic even though theyre commercial.. First four is best metal ever!!

  • @TheCorruptionlives So they really did it just for the money? I doubt it. Youthanasia is my fav Megadeth album. Comercial to me is followeing what ever others are doing that sells. and if Youthanasia is commercial compared to other bands then name some of the bands that sound anything like youthanasia. It is not commercial to have catchy melodies. commercial to me means mainstream, which in turn means following others :D

  • Commercial or not, they did better than Metallica in that Era, St.Anger and Black album were the best ones that were made in that era. Megadeth made Countdown to Ext. and Youthan they were amazing too so lets call it even and have a donut and frappuchino and call it a day.

  • Metallica hasn't been good since '88--total sell outs!

  • They haven't sold out, its just that they went doing different kind of Metal, James and Lars said thrash can be repetitive sometimes and you wont sell if you do the same things. Megadeth changed their aggressiveness and sound just the way Metallica did. And I mean Metallica a video game and I like it, playing as one of my inspirations. And Megadeth was on a cartoon which is also cool cause I watch it everyday. Bands go through their times. Anthrax is hip hop now, Slayer never changed.

  • Also not to mention that they are touring WITH EACH OTHER, and the other 2 pioneers Slayer and Anthrax. So now, the war can be settled by a peaceful acceptance by both bands.

  • I don't see why fans cannot see that Dave and Metallica have mended their friendships. The fans keep up the feud that is all. It does get annoying after a while. Guys both bands are good. Just get over the fact that Dave was kicked outta Metallica. If not for that Megadeth probably would not be here today!

  • @PearlJammer07 Absolutely. Who keeps these feuds going? I like Metallica's early work up to the Black Album but nothing else. I'll give them credit for that. Megadeth had its flaws, too, with Risk and Youthanasia. My opinion of course. I just wish Metallica had stuck to its guns with thrash metal. They were a kickass band back in the 80s.

  • is rust in peace sell out to you at all? heaviest stuff they've made......and that kicked off the 90's

  • These feuds over Metallica and Megadeth will probably go on until the end of the human race. I for one enjoy both bands music. They have both made epic albums over the years. They create music and lyrics people can relate to. Their albums will remain timeless!

  • lol "notice everybody has to change their stuff but me?" ahh Dave you rock man

  • Comment removed

  • love it! love megadeth!

    IDOLOS TOTALES!

    SON LO MÁS!

  • dude this was awesome, and the ending was hilarious!!!!

  • I never knew they made a video for Train of Consequenses.

  • I am really getting into this album, never realized how talented and melodic the riffs are on this album. EXCELLENT!

  • 8:32
