Look at all of the legends of rock that we have had in the 50's-90's

Now you look me in the eyes and say that there has been a band as good as Led zeppelin, Bon Jovi, Iron Maiden, Styx, Elvis, Beatles, Rolling stones, Greatful Dead, even at their worst, that has come out since 2000. Grunge was the last great era of rock, and while their are some decent bands out there now, nothing like the forrunners what was back then.

And no, its not nastalgia, as all of this was before my time.

@X0ia dude, of course music is not the same, but we still have some (very few) but good rock stuff. Velvet Revolver and Heaven & Hell, (do not disconsider because they're supergroups) for example, and my all-time favourite, Zakk Wylde's Black Label Society, which was created in 98, but has really gone into serious business these last couple of years. But you have a point, there are no NEW rock stars, as these bands are formed by 70s-90s idols. At least the original Black Sabbath is returning.

Just listen to the music if you like it and ignore the rest.

It has more to do with the fact that christianity was imposed on that population, taking over the native religions and gods.
