It is time to correct a widespread misunderstanding about Alabina: THESE ARE NOT THE GYPSY KINGS! The flamenco-band accompanying Alabina are LOS NIÑOS DE SARA (in Spanish, "Sara's children"). They are Spanish-speaking Gypsies from Montpellier, France (source: Wikipedia).
This is SUCH A GREAT SONG!! What would we do if we didn't have awesome music like this to MOVE TO. This is yet another GREAT SONG to listen to on a great sound system while SAILING. I consider it, among other things, a collection in my sailing music.
Thank you Alabina Ishtar & Gypsy King!!! We owe you big time for this!
@letstalkaboutstuff Well, somebody had to do something about him... Um, I see you've lobbed a PM to my Inbox. Thanks. I'll go there, now, to say on, without further upcluttering this thread...
@letstalkaboutstuff Coolio Let's, you made it all look & sound very enticing, despite the eco-collapse. I won't ask what your C.O.2 output is per year, with the Jetsetting... Your exported Goodvibes makes up for it all, I reckon ! Over in Bedlam I actually DID report the Infinite Nuisance, via the Feedback to the Mobile Service... All I could think of. Only good part to that ratbag, he upped my Viewcount 400% yestidy ; from them checking 2 see who lies !
Very picturesque... Lovely music ! Rather a romantic view, of that part of the world...Have y', perchance, read Boccacio's Decameron ? It grants a wonderful perspective into the Arabian Peninsula, & the Mediterranean lands... These people live a remnant lifestyle, forced on them by the profligate wastefulness of their Ancestors. Economic Growth, caused, ALL that Desert.... Low angle light, filtered by polluted air ; looks SO rosy !
@WarblesOnALot Ya, I stayed with places that are more westernized and that haven't been destroyed by the war. Plus, aside from falconry images, most of them come from where the people who sang this song are from. : ) (I had to look that part up.)
VERY NICE S
