  • you should do some videos on how to just edit the skies in general . it always great to see different styles

  • 2 thumbs up !

  • hey where did you get your images for skies , and if you are the photographer what is your set up ? what camera do you use / lens /

  • @JujuiLuv Yeah, this sky is my own. When I'm out shooting or walking around if I see a nice sky I shoot it for later use. This was shot with a 5D Mark II and 16-35 f/2.8 lens. Any camera with a wide angle lens can capture a nice big sky.

  • Why i can't use the brush tool to paint the spots that became blue? It doesn't paint these areas!

  • awesome tutorial

  • there's easy way ;d ;)

  • @DexteN1337 Easier*

  • great tutorial - fast, easy to follow and works a charm - i had some flat colourless skies that now look like a million fluffy bucks - thanks!

  • @rachaelbee cool, glad it was helpful

  • I loved this, just loved how easy you made this!

  • Excellent & precise info.

  • Thank you, this was explained very well and am happy to report success!

  • you are a master

  • Doesn't work at all.

  • hey, excellent video, but it doesnt work for me, lol. i try and use the Gradient tool, but nothing happens.

umm. i have CS5.1 trail version which shouldn't make a difference. only difference i see when i do it, is when i drag my sky photo to my background, it shows as a big X and i can adjust the size, also you get a window Color Space? i dont get that either, not sure if thats it? ive tried about 12 times and followed step by step, i feel like a tool, haha.

    thanks

  • This is easily followed, but how do you do it if you don't already have pictures of the sky as you do?

  • Excellent Tutorial Thanks!

  • This is a great video. But if this is photoshop for beginners, I don't think I want to see an advanced photoshop lesson. Photoshop is a complex program.

  • thanks .. i had a little problem to only add curves to the sky but

    you explain very well :D

    and by the way

    sexi voice :D

    thanks

  • @vichy13 I was thinking the same thing....sexy voice ;) makes learning even more fun

  • Brilliantly explained !

  • I am new to Real Estate photography and have watched over 20 videos to replace skies this is by FAR the BEST!!!

    Thanksyou Cheers Patty

  • @PopsDaRocker thanks, I'm glad you found it usefull. I used to do a lot of Real Estate Photography and every image HAD to have a blue sky, even if you could see rain in the foreground :) I used this technique a lot.

  • @PopsDaRocker so when you tell us to make the mask box black i am unable to do so. it is white with a hollow dot in the middle. i think this is my issue as i get stuck when trying to blend the two images

  • Yay, awesome :) Thanks!

  • thanks

  • your methods of selection are extremely out of date considering you're using cs5, but otherwise nicely done.

  • @envisageskylines Yeah I suppose you're right. I should brush up on my selection skills. I have old habits that still work but there is no doubt a lot better way to do this now.

  • Very good tutorial, Thank you !
