Wow. Am I the only one who liked the manga? Everyone here seems to just want to criticize it. Yuri was in love with Kail, not Ramses. And I thought Kail was a great character, sure he drove me crazy when he kept trying to practically rape Yuri every chance he got at the beginning of the manga, but he grew to be such a great character!

Yuri and Kail are one of my favorite couples.

I enjoyed the music video. :) This is one of my favorite manga.

@YuriOokino I was only playing, I get that it was about Yuri and tradegy and all. People usually just overlook Ilbani although he was really important in the exposition of the story. I was about to stop reading the manga before he showed up because it was just Yuri whining about wanting to go home and Kail being a pervert. He made the story more interesting for me. Plus I liked how he was drawn w/ his long hair tied back and that his eyes were different than all of the other male characters ;O

@ThreePockySticks I liked Urhi too but he is/was a eunich, can't do much with that. Now Ilbani was a different matter all together, unmarried and by the end of the story the probably the most eligible bachelor in all of Hattusa, sadly Mursili kept him so busy he had no time for women. Also, I don't buy the idea that he should be paired up with Hadi (others have said this on other videos). Nope, I don't think he would hook up with her at all. I image he is a bit of a snob in that way.

@dvpapiexe The ending of the manga confused me. So the Hittites only lasted 150 years? And Kail apparently banished Yuri. o.O

I actually never liked Kail much, Yuri should've gone with Ramses. As for Ilbani however, I can't even think of who he'd be with. All I know is that he's clever and really good-looking. And yes, Urhi is a eunich (I was so angry at the guy who raped him and then had the guts to cut his penis off) but him and Nakia are so tragic. <3

@ThreePockySticks totally agree about Ramses(his real name was Paramesu not User before becoming Pharoah). He was better for Yuri. Very unsatisfactory ending to the story however I can't critque another's writer's work as she has no interest in writting a sequel. In reality Mursili's wife(unnamed) died coinciding w/ an eclispe predicted by his evil step mother according to his own writings;suspiciously the only ones availible for the time period.Urhi's tragedy w/ much sympathy gave him depth ;o

@ThreePockySticks additionally 150 years 3000 years ago would have been considered a great success. Notg as successful as the Egyptians but anyways. Blame the Assyrians for the defeat of the Hittite, they were the ones who ended their empire in Anatolia. (BTW Ilbani was an Assyrian Royal, and Kail said he could not match him w/ a sword *snicker*) ; )

It happens somewhere about 1/2 in. Kail also states this when Mattiwaza set the trap for him in the one city where he is shown for the 1st time. Kail said that because it was a formal feast and only royals could attend it, no one but he and Ilbani,but Yuri bursts in the room to warn him about the trap.

@ThreePockySticks: the "Kail banished Yuuri" thing is really a mistranslation. I've read the raw, it is that "They believe that after Kail died, Yuuri took control of everything of the empire (or smt like this), but in reality, Yuuri died before Kail, and the next year, Kail died along with her."

Love it! Very dramatic, the music fit the pages you chose, it was great. I read the last half of the series in Chinese, the only problem is I can't read Chinese so I have to wait for them to come out in English though a friend of mine and I are translating them so I might not have to wait, I can't wait until I can actually read them

I don't think there will be much about "Anatolia Story" since Japanese Comics are not so popular in English-speaking countries...But if you seach the Japanese name(天は赤い河のほとり) or Chinese name(天是红河岸) in google,you can find a lot of wonderful things!(Though you may suffer for can't understand them...)

The girl on the cover is actually her great great-granddaughter I think. Vol. 28 is either entirely or in part a story that takes place a couple generations later.
