Nostalgy for the old times always bring us so many memories. All of them good. We remember our old games from the 8-bits, 16 bits, or 32 bits era with all their good things overpowered, and if they had any bad stuff, we completely forget it.

I cannot imagine the kind of memories a kid who played Super Mario Galaxy in his childhood can have when he'll grow up.

For some people 360 and PS3 gaming just isn't as great. I myself had my PS3 for years but in the end its the Nintendo games that were memorable to me, I'm just more attached to these franchises. Which is why i decided to spent my money more on Nintendo products, and the occasional PC game, my PS3 is with my Brother now.

But for Nintendo, it's not just that, but the characters in the game, the story, and ofcourse, the music. The things that sticks in our memory much longer than other things. Also Mario and Orchestral Music(especially when not done by Koji Kondo) doesn't fit with Mario at all(except Boss Battles maybe) even Miyamoto didnt like it when they put Orchestral Music in a Mario Game but he agreed just for the Galaxy Series to match with the Galaxy conept(i guess)!

@bardhi09 It's up to you what you like. Just to let you know, it's an art technique. The composer composes what he/she thinks fits, and it does because it's their profession. And a lot of people like it, so that means the technique is working like it should. So it's not going to change just because a few people dislike it out of a ratio of 1000:1 (1000 likers for every 1 dislike). But yeah, it's up to you. I'm just curious as to why you came here when you hate it so much.

@bardhi09 Honestly for me, I say it fits because orchestra feels very open and free, like the universe. Mario's in space, so it's an open ended point. I love Mario 64's type as well, but I don't think that very well goes along with a huge endless expansion. But once again, that's only me. I understand what you're telling me though, since Mario has never usually had serious music in his games (exceptions for bosses).

Ratchet & Clank has a unique mix of platforming and shooting, as well as a few RPG elements (leveling up weapons/health/power etc)

Uncharted is good because it makes you feel like you are in an action movie, and has a great story

Metal Gear Solid is incredibly awesome, since it has great music, story, graphics, gameplay, and more.

But Call of Duty on the other hand lacks both creativity and lasting appeal. Fuck COD.
