Joan is pretty clearly inebriated and when Christina comes on at the end you can tell how angry Joan is about having the spotlight shifted away from her, she yanks Christina off the stage. That tends to confirm Mommie Dearest for me.

A really cool interview, nevertheless ! Nice job Scott !
I really enjoyed this interview, but it still does not explain why Joan disinherited Christopher. What did he do to deserve to be cut out of the will? Also, Scott I was sick with laughter watching the Calender Girl video. That was a classic!
I thought Crawford sorta died at the end of Baby Jane or was implied to?
