  • damn i really enjoed reading all the comments from CasperCee. Thats a damn funny guy. Cant get enough of him. I wish there would me more people like him, so i could lough even more. Its funny how he always brings opinions instead of real facts.

  • And how does that work out with the millions of applications on PC that don't run on Mac? (I.e.) "Great - you copied my QuickBooks file across. Pity you couldn't copy the application as well or make it run if you did". Seriously misleading ad. And I say this typing on my Mac. Seriously.

  • I own a macbookair for like 2 years now i didn't get a single virus

  • @macchang1 I've owned Windows computers for roughly 11 years and haven't had one either, no lie. My sisters get them all the time but that's just because they go on dodgy websites. Not getting them is as easy as not being an idiot (for most people that's very easy). If you try hard enough there are plenty of viruses for a Mac.

  • Uhh.. I have a PC and can say that I have never ever wanted a Mac because it has Office, 'faster' programs and that a Mac don't have viruses (They do).

  • I think they got it backwards. They dumb down mac users so much that they can't operate anything else properly.

  • If Apple is so great why are 95% of the Worlds pc and have to do Ads about Mac being better than PC

  • First, every Windows running PC is slow, takes forever to open up programs, and has to be restarted on a regular basis because of freezes, etc.

Why update hardware (except for memory) when everything is running almost perfect?

  • @CasperCee Looks like someone is an apple butt kisser My Windows 7 Pc boots very fast and has never had the blue secreen of death runs games perfectly,I restart My computer because of game freezes because of intels crappy graphics card and updates and uninstalls .Most of my programs open up atleast 2 secs. You can stop comparing XP and vista to The macs lastest OS and try to compare Windows 7 to it,If you did they would bolth run at the same friken speed. Hi Im a Mac and Im over priced!

  • @TheSpectorDeflector

    - Snow Leopard has built-m exchange support. Windows 7 doesn't.

    - Snow Leopard is faster:

    Multimedia Multitasking (Mac 444.3 sec/Win 723 sec)

    Shutdown time (Mac 6.6 sec/Wind 12.63)

    Boot time (Mac 36.4 sec/Win 42.7)

You want your Windows to run better and faster? Run it on Boot Camp 3.0 on a MAC -- it runs better on a MAC!!!!!

  • @TheSpectorDeflector You're joking, right? When I upgraded to OSX Snow Leopard, it cost about $30. The price from Vista to Windows 7 is.

    - Snow Leopard requires 5 GB of free disk space; Windows 7 requires 16 GB for the 32-bit & 20 GB for the 64-bit

    - Windows 7 multiple core processing doesn't compare to Apple's parallel processing

    - Apple's OpenCL & H.264 graphics card has smoother playback than Windows 7

    - Apple's Safari is now supported more by modern web standards than Window's Explorer

  • @CasperCee Nobody in their right mind uses Windows Explorer anymore. It would be like still playing madden if there were any other NFL games available.

And sure Windows seven needs four times the Hard Disk space, but you forget that hard drives aren't tiny anymore, and it's hard to find a computer that has a drive small enough for you to need that extra 15 gigs.

And, lastly, making a generalization like that about graphics cards for PCs is just ridiculous.

  • @TheOtherBradBird The fact of the matter: Macs run faster and smoother, less problem free than any Windows computer.

  • @CasperCee I agree, Macs run much less problem free than windows computers. The problem with macs centers around people that own them not being able to shut the fuck up about owning them.

  • @CasperCee did you mean MORE problem free?

  • @mincemeatpie Yes, that's what I meant. Slip of the tongue.

  • @CasperCee your freudian slip is showing.

my PCs are great. reinstall windows once every other year for free and my systems run superior to macs costing twice as much. guess what. your mac is nothing but an underpowered PC that steve jobs has authorised his software to run on... I do not want to buy from a man who will not allow me to use what I buy how I want to. were I artsy fartsy enough to want mac OS I would want to run it on a more powerful machine, not the gutless wonders jobs sells

  • @TAPriceCTR What a joke. Macs are so much better than ANY PC I've ever used. My Intel Mac or all other Macs are faster and MUCH MORE stable than any PC on the market.

    PERIOD.

  • @CasperCee

yes, I already gathered that you feel macs are better than PCs. now try presenting some objective facts to support your claim. $1800 alienware M17 vs @$1800 macbook pro

    mac 2.0*4 processor. 4 G 1.333 ram, 256 M video, 500 G hdd @5400 rpm,

    PC 2.8*4 processor, 4G 1.666 ram, 1.5 G video card, 500 G hdd @ 7200 RPM.

comparing apples to apples the PC wins with, 40% faster processor, 25% faster ram, 6 times greater video processing and 33% faster hdd. but the mac wins on battery life.

  • @TAPriceCTR Look up the Mac Leopard v Windows 7 ("Prizefight" week of October 22). Snow Leopard beats WIndows. PLUS, Windows runs better when it's running on Boot Camp 3.0 ON A MAC! Windows plays 3D games better than Macs, but that doesn't make you money.

Macs boot up faster; Macs are faster and have better performance than Windows; Mac has better features than Windows.

  • @CasperCee

you see the difference here? I present evidence and you present claims. if you compare a $2500 mac to my $400 PC the mac better damn well win in EVERY SINGLE CATEGORY. rather than say faster, better and a munch of final assessments... get 2 equally priced machines and pit them head to head, then rather than just say faster, post the time measurments. my 8 year old windows XP machine takes 45 seconds to boot up.

  • @TAPriceCTR $2,500 Mac? Where are you getting your prices from? I got my 21" Intel I-Mac BRAND NEW for $800 and my G5 Mini-mac for $600.

Both of those don't even equal that cockamamy price you spewed out and they BOTH beat Windows 7 in every category!

Macs boot and shut down more that twice as fast as the PCs running Windows.

  • @CasperCee my price came from store.apple.com. where are your prices from? I don't look at "mini"s because they are not worth the space in my backpack. so I compared the cheapest 16" not air to an equally priced PC.

again, post the numbers. my 8 year old PC loads windows in 45 seconds... hardly a burdensome time especially since I leave it running for several weeks at a time. stop feeling your way through arguments and get some MEASURMENTS

  • @TAPriceCTR From PC Mag.

    Mini Mac ratings:

Editor Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars (good)

User Rating: 4 out of 5 stars (very good)

Mac minis are just as good and better than most main-stay WIndows computers.

  • Comment removed

  • @CasperCee

I meant an empirical measurment, not a measurment of whether or not people like it. if we want to declare superiority by how much people like something then windows having a 92% market share while mac only has 5% proves windows unquestionably better.

interesting that despite my stating how long my 8 year old machine takes to start up you have not stated how long yours takes. why is that? does my old PC load faster than your new overpriced mac?

  • @TAPriceCTR With computers, you get what you pay for. Windows are cheaper, both in price, in quality and performance compared to Macs.

How long does it take my Mac to boot up. When I come home from work, I turn on my computer, kick off my shoes and by the time I am sitting down in computer chair it's up.

    I'd say about 15 seconds.

  • @CasperCee

finally!!! an acutal measurment.... sweet, your mac boots up in 1/3 the time my 8 year old computer does.

all your other statments of quality and performance as back to more unsubstanciated claims. if you spend as much on a PC as you would on a mac your PC will smoke the mac. even if mac OS did not requre ANY processing (which is impossible) windows 7 operates on less than 2% of the computer mentioned above... which had 40% greater power than the equally priced mac.

  • @CasperCee my pc boots in ten seconds... and only for 700 dollars hmmmm y is mac better again

  • Under each and every one of these Mac vs PC ads there's an some sort of argument in the comments section. Beautiful.

  • Look, I haven't ever used mac, but these stupid ads just annoy me. I'm completely satisfied with my pc and I don't wanna buy a "better" computer for 1000 pounds. Anyway, instead of just talking about mac's advantages, Apple mostly just tries to convince us that windows is shit.

  • I've a Mac user since like '03 when the moniter was still a box, and so far I have only upgraded, never replaced one. My current one from '05 runs perfectly, without any signs of stopping. -Typed off recently

    acquired iPhone 4

  • @freakencheaken You are talking to PC users, some who have never used a Mac. I have used Macs since 1996. I've gone from Power Macs to G3s all the way up to my G5 IMac and my G5 MacMini which I now own.

At work I use a Dell and have used other Windows computers at other jobs.

I cannot see why ANYBODY would own anything but a Mac.

  • @CasperCee Because Macs are ugly, underpowered, overpriced, and come with more useless stuff than a preassembled Windows PC would (this is including the operating system- I will elaborate if necessary). Now you can see.

  • @MaoiMeowi2 A little jealous. Just because EVERYBODY tries to copy the look and operating system of Macs, don't get pissed. You just need to accept the fact that PCs are a lame excuse for a computer and try to copy whatever the Mac can do.

  • @CasperCee Not really. I've used Macs before. You're the jealous one- you need third-party software to run executables. Windows never looked anything like the Mac OS, and I don't believe any distributions of Linux have either (I've only used Ubuntu, which has a unique look).

Macs are PC's. PC stands for "Personal Computer", which a Mac is.

  • @CasperCee That was the dumbest thing I've read today. Do you know anything about computers beyond what an 80 year old would? Looking at your profile, I can see that just may be the case.

  • @CasperCee You're just...an idiot.

  • @allcheesezup If that's all you can say, without any substance or comments to back your statement, it's clear that you are the rea idiot.

I have experience using Macs and Windows. I own a 2 Macs and have used Macs for 16 years. At work we use Dells. I have worked at ad agencies who used HPs, Gateways, and several other Windows operating computers. I have the intelligence NEVER to waste my money on garbage. I will ONLY buy Macs.

  • @CasperCee You claim that PC's try to copy whatever the Macs do. What proof do you have? Also, I have yet to see a PC that tried to copy the look of a Mac.

  • @allcheesezup Lets' see. After the I-Mac came out, how many other computers also had that "one-in-all" look? I-Pads were the first ones out. How many are out with that similar, almost exact same look?

The first Mac that came out (called the "Macintosh") started the looks of every computer on the market.

  • @CasperCee I have barely seen any computers with the "All-In-One" look personally, so I dont believe that. You're saying that people copy the tablet look. They're fucking tablets! They're obviously not going to make a circle shaped tablet or a triangle shaped tablet.

    Clearly you're an apple fanboy.

  • @allcheesezup HP has an all-in-one, Gateway has one, Yes, I am a BIG Apple fan. The I-Mac compared to the Gateway One: Mac start up time: 28.7 sec. Gateway: 1 min, 13 sec. Mac shutdown time: 4 sec. Gateway: 44.3 sec. Mac install time for applications beats Gateway in almost every program. For Mac to start stress-launch Photoshop (w/ 8 apps running), it takes 21.36 sec to launch. Gateway takes 40 sec. Mac is a better computer than Gateway or any other computer that runs Windows. PERIOD.
  • @CasperCee They made All-in-Ones because people bought lots of them. That's what businesses do, they go where the money is. Install times Im pretty sure is based on PC specs. Mac specs are crap for the price they're asking for.

  • @allcheesezup I gave specs done on tests done with PCs and Macs. Macs won - hands down.

I would never waste my money on buying junk. I own 2 Macs and my wife works on a Dell at her job. She wanted a Mac for her birthday and SHE GOT IT.

  • @CasperCee I'm done arguing with you. You prefer Macs and I prefer PCs. Nothing will change that.

  • @CasperCee I'm sorry to say, but you did waste your money on junk. You can get a PC running windows for less then half the price of a Mac that has the same specs or better. Plus, in a few years with a PC you have the chance to upgrade it, with a Mac you have to buy a new one. Just face it, Apple is a money hungry company, that needs to learn that they have to make their products better, not just try and insult their competitors.

It's the same with Android vs iOS, android will win every time.

  • @Trentr321 Upgrading a PC is much more costly than upgrading a Mac ($200 to upgrade a PC vs. $29 to upgrade a Mac). You don't have to purchase a Mac with every upgrade.

I would rather pay a little extra and get a better, faster computer that is much less likely to get infected with bugs and viruses.

It takes 12 seconds for my Mac (loaded with the ENTIRE CS5 & 4 external hardrives), compared to the Dell at work I use that takes over minutes to start up.That's why I buy nothing other than Macs.

  • @CasperCee $200 to upgrade a PC? I can get an extra 2GB of ram for $20, If I needed a new GFX card 1 GB DDR5 for $75. Total cost = $95. How much did your build cost that you are on atm? Mine cost $420 for 4GB, 1GB DDR3 GFX, 3.3GHz Dual core. Don't even bring up the Intel i7 unless you do some hardcore video editing, otherwise they are useless.

  • @Trentr321 Do you even know what an upgrade is? Buying more ram or a new video card IS NOT AN UPGRADE.

  • @CasperCee Definition of upgrade: Raise (something) to a higher standard, in particular improve (equipment or machinery) by adding or replacing components. What does a Mac count as a upgrade?

  • @Trentr321 Upgrade - taking your computer to the next higher operating system.

Buying more memory is NOT an upgrade. It just ads more memory.

Adding a new video cad is NOT a computer upgrade. It's a video card upgrade.

  • @CasperCee Oh, right. A software upgrade. I forgot that the only upgrade a mac user would talk about is a software upgrade since Apple doesn't let you even touch their hardware. Right there is one of the reasons Mac is better.

  • @Trentr321 Mac has no need to upgrade their hardware, unlike ant Windows running computer. I use Macs at home and Dells at work. From experience, Macs kick the shit out of Dells. I've also used other Windows running computers. They ALL SUCK.

  • @CasperCee Give me a valid reason why you think they suck? Why does Mac have no need to upgrade their hardware?

  • @CasperCee yes... yes that is....

  • @CasperCee and that my friends is why windows has 95% of the PC market because "they are a lame excuse for a computer and try to copy whatever the macs can do" LOL!!!

  • Beeeeeeeeeeee...........eeeeeeeeeeeee!

    LOLXD

  • BEEEEB HAHAHAH!!!

Hey where is that genius!? I wana talk to her under my sheets

  • You don't need to switch as often though with a proper Desktop PC, Laptops (Windows or Mac) usually live 2 or 3 years before requiring replacement but a Desktop PC can be upgraded to meet the standard for maybe 5 or 6 years unlike a Mac Desktop. And then when you do switch over to a new machine, you just plug your old HDD into your new machine and copy what ever you want/need. How can an Apple genius distinguish between rubbish and stuff you want? Just saying...

  • @ShasLaMontyr Because you tell them, they ask what you want to transfer, and the software organizes it to you. And I know you won't believe this(because it seems like you've never used a Mac) but Apple laptops survive far longer than 2-3 years. Usually around 5, I've seen more than a few last up to 10, and still run programs, and browse the internet very functionally.

  • @nimatoed my point was not that a laptop (Windows or Mac) can't survive more than 2-3 years, my point was that after 2-3 years the hardware is obsolete. I have 2 Dells from before 1999 that still run fine but I can't do more with them than what computer could do in 1999 because we demand more from a Computers hardware today. In conclusion yes a MacBook can last 5-6 years, but after 5-6 years any computer will feel slow and in need of replacement because everything else has moved on.

  • why does MAC AND PC always fight?

why dont they cooperate and make MAC PC Gadget called PAC!

wont it be nice combining the best of the two?

  • @MastRapp it would be, but that simply isn't possible.

  • @MastRapp Because Apple doesn't allow their OS to be installed on regular PC

But it will be fun to combine MAC and PC together, naming it PAC!!!

And for those who uses PAC, we called them "Pac-man" XD

  • @MastRapp We would but that would just make PC rise 300x in price while only rising in 2% efficiency.

  • wow mac was mercy less in this they where just like pc=evil mac=good

i think this is a new low

  • Hi i´m a PC. And I´m an elitist faggot!

  • @Nefus1988 only noobs comment twice

  • Hi I´m a PC, and I am an elitist faggot!

  • get a linux

  • LUL Macs can't run a lot of PC programs and half my game collection won't even work on my Mac. Mac is owned by Mum.

  • anyone who honestly believes that a Zune is better than an ipod is an idiot

  • Well my games i paid for on the app store are all gone, since i updated itunes.

Jailbreaked it since then and never paid for a game again xD

  • ha ha ha ha ha. You people crack me up! They are ads, not attacks on your PCs. These ads are great, award winning and hailed as great advertising in the ad industry.

May I also remind you that Windows' ripped off apple's operating system and with an aggressive marketing campaign enticed users to pc in the first place. Not everyone is a gamer or programmer and actually just want a functional computer that is actually easy to use, apple delivers ahead of the curve, windows does not.

  • @paulgoodsalt And Apple ripped off Xerox...

  • Mac dosen't run a BSD jack its in unix.. fucking do your recherché before you troll fagot...

  • doing this just demonstrates that apple is desesperated.......pc's are still winning the market and apple is doing this to get some customers

  • Best Ever!! 

  • PC could attack apple in their adds and make it 1000x better, but they don't. And guess whos STILL on top? Just shows what the better product is.

  • apple don't have any respect for other company

  • Thing is, as an overall computer macs are better, but with this terribly one sided arguement they give themselves a bad name !

  • Hello I'm a Mac. We put all our moneyintoadvertisement so we're the best...

  • Well that was dumb and HORRIBLY one sided.... so yeah!

  • Comment removed

  • They also transfer your money from your old account to apples bank account. XD

Psssh - dont let any mac user know that he also has a "PC" (whooo, bad word) and the only difference is they're running FreeBSD (Which is actually FREE) with a fancy GUI as an operating system. Unless they get pissed off and install "Boot camp" to run windows. *g*

  • @kyodai99 we all know its a personal computer, but pc is usally asscoiated with windows, hence the ongoing rivalry between apple and mac. this was typed on a mac, by a wireless mac keyboard by the way

  • Are these ads only for the internet? I don't see them on TV. Does Apple has cash flow problems?

  • everybody knows this ads, people around whole world. i dont see any reason to air it in TV :)

  • that genoius is soooo HOT!

  • I find that most Apple Geniuses are at least a 6 out of 10. Usually higher.

  • yh i also love the ishowu icon in the middle of recordings for macs! they make it so much better!

    ISHOWUDEMO!

  • PC self built: $400-$500. Mac - 1,100-2,000+. Ill stick to my PC, thanks.

  • I would too but that would mean that I would have to double the ram to run Vista... damn I would switch back to WinME before I ever ran Vista.

  • wait wait. hold on. dont you guys see how sad these are getting...? i mean really.

oh, in direct relation to this ad - heard of windows easy transfer, network cable/usb cable, plug in, click transfer files and settings.

  • Ok, I am sick of hearing people throw the god damn gaming issue at Macs! They are talking about files, ie documents, pictures, videos, music, etc. Not installed programs, like games! Do your research, you might learn something.

I have a Mac, and it runs OS X and Vista, and it can play any Vista game I throw at it. I guarantee my Mac can run Vista games better than most PC's on the market!

Get over yourselves! It's advertising. If you like it, buy it. If you don't, move on.

  • exactly, I own 2 macs, dont want ever to deal with windows again and for games, well there is wii, ps3 and even xbox, for 199 and wireless controllers...there is nothing better

  • So can your "Mac" run Crysis without melting? Oh no wait you can't.

  • Who the hell cares about crysis. There are loads of other games you can play that are better than crysis.

  • Crysis is the best graphics game out there.....go troll elsewhere

  • It's not all about graphics, but also about gameplay. Some other people like different things like mmorpgs, shooters, blahblahblah. Crysis is a great game but there are also alot of other greater games better than crysis.

  • @knightmare711 Ok so how about CNC, World of war craft, mettal of honor, Call of duty, Need for speed, any of those?

  • I play wow. I play CNC, i play call of duty and need for speed. All on my Mac. Metal of Honor i just dont like it.

  • with just pre mac? or with a windows loader

  • genius is really hot

  • mac is ok for video editing, i use it for that. for other stuff, windows xp all the way.

and these ads are just lame, mac fangirls should get over microsoft already. it just adds to the notion that mac is an elitist snobby conceided kid.

  • I think that a company attacking other company to get customers is lame.

If your product is so "awesome" you dont need to do that.

  • @Buzardero Macs are so overpriced for what little performance they yield. Now im not going to start ranting, we've all seen plenty.

Apple is making these ads to desperately sell their products through propoganda when in fact Microsoft produces far superior products. Like Zune HD beats ipod touch like nothing, PC also dominates Macs.

  • @Buzardero Word-of-mouth is the actual most important form of advertising. If your product is good enough, people will probably hear about it.

  • @Buzardero Although I am an apple fan, I do agree with that. These ads were funny in the beginning, but now its getting too much. what I love is how Microsoft's been ignoring these for years!!

  • @Buzardero It's called business.

  • i think most people don't play games

this ad is for people who are not so great at computing

  • well, wouldnt they only need a basic computer, so they wouldnt want to spend loads then...? its exactly the problem, they make ads targeted at the every day often novice user, yet they make computers for the people who want to flash an apple logo around and dont care how much they have to pay for that.

  • I like the way Apple make the hard- and software. Beautifull, userfriendly and powerfull at the same time. That's where I pay for. And yes, mostly it's a lot money. When I buy something, I buy good stuff.

(I don't like the Windows bashing from Apple ether)

  • i like how the PC-platform, is so open. that means we get the latest hardware (how long have you been waiting for blu-ray support - two and a half years now? wow. and its meant to be a pro video editing computer).

    i buy great stuff.

  • This has nothing to do with Windows. It is just a company offering a service.

I'm sure IBM does that kind of think on their professional solutions. So what about PC's ?

  • How does it transfer GAMING FILES ACROSS ?

Honestly, why are these ads still running, Mac cannot do half the shit it promises in these ads.

  • @YoungGun

Games? How long are you PeeCee users going to use that OLD and TIRED line? Jebus that weak.

  • How long are you mac users going to use that hip cool and unique line for?

Every mac is identical, yet every pc looks different. And that's not even counting modders.. Fun? If i wanted to photoshop a picture, i'd fire photoshop up on my pc ¬_¬. But since gaming is much more fun, i think i'll go play counter strike while you photoshop pictures of it.

  • i dont play games, yet i will buy a windows-based PC always (unless there is some drastic change), because i edit videos - and i know i can get better hardware for cheaper and still run the software i need, on a PC.

  • Why are you people giving this guy YoungGun552 thumbs down? Because you know he's correct, that's why.

  • simple. Mac users dont give a shit for pc gaming, if you get to the point of buying a mac cos you were fed up with windows crashing, then you are really concerned with productivity and not wasting 50% of your time fixing your computer instead of actually working. For gaming I own both the ps3 and xbox360.

  • ROFLMAO!!!!!!! Far funnier than the pizza box LOL.

  • haha... beeeeeeeeeepp...eeeeeeeep
