unbeleaveble that this second horse is not even dangerous!!!!, they can work and it is waiting for what is next!!!!!!!,...I will not think about how many times the horses legs get broken or damaged by doing this!!
Thanks for this video, I go to share it again and again on my fb page!!!!!
wish i could make a place for hundreds of horses and rescue you them from people like that give them a safe loving home. horses do not deserve non of this and them type of people dont deserve to have a horse!! i put my hands up to the geeza for saying i now knw what im doing wrong that takes alot of courage!! still doesnt make it right for his past behavior what he has put horses through. i love monty roberts <3
@faybebabiex I think the same way, I am glad that I have already saved the live of 4 pony's because that they did not do the hoof care for months and I did it all by myselve
Have learn the natural hoof care and one could not ebven stand on his legs so that I had to do it when she was lying down
... and confussed people shudnt punish a horse for that reason they dont understand why and whats happening to them. i bond with horses in a quit short amount of time and that isnt through force or punishment, its through reasurance, paitence, kidness and love. once you connect with a horse its the most amazing thing ever and its soo horrible to think people go the wrong away about it. these animals want to trust us and look to us but howw can they when they are put through suffer!. hate people!
MONTY ROBERTS!:- what a legend!! this man is soo amazing, if only people would watch this man and learn his ways so that creul behavior like this would stop! horses are what make me ME there my world! i think before people get involved with horses they need to learn the right ways of how to treat and connect with them without making them suffer. they should put thereselves in the horses shoes the horse never asks for all this, they cant choose the people in there life the horses are scared and
And yet the Parelli system is also based in "you must do x" or I will hurt you. Are their methods as extreme as the video? Certainly not! But it's too easy for Parelli techniques to be used abusively by frustrated trainers and owners. Operant conditioning using positive reinforcement has been used for decades on various animal species, including whales, dolphins, great cats, apes, yet "natural horsemen" continue to use negative reinforcement and punishment. A bit of true education is needed.
im 12and lucky enough to have had monty look me in the eye and say "you are gonna be the future part of this planet, so treat hoses right" it was a while ago so i cant remember exaclt what he said but it was something like that, but he is so nice compared to the way he was brought up.
horses are liveing creatures two its awful how man treats an incredibley beautiful creature that we share the earth with and somtimes i think that ever thing on this planet would be alot better off without humans. ):
Oh, Monty, the saddest part for me about this whole video, is the lack of acceptance of your methods, still, today. I watch the barbaric Wild Horse Races, I watch the saddle-"broncs" and rage against such useless, pointless, backwards cruelty. Horses have such narrow, perfect memories. What do those cruelly tortured animals actually LEARN? Not to trust, never to relax, always to be wary and afraid. So utterly wrong, No utterly unnecessary. Thank you for being there.
Monty Roberts is such an inspiration to me, I'm 16 and the other day my friend on fb wrote as her status, 'Natural horsemanship is a load of crap!!!!!', I can't even tell you how much this angered me haha! My instructor trained with Monty last year + I'm so glad I have someone that lives so close that can teach me his ways ♥
sigh. unfortunatly, my grandfather used the same methods. my father told me about a little pony who wouldn't stop when you told him to. he told me his father put a very long rope on his halter so he could gallop but pappi pulled back on the rope like steer busting. he swung the rope over the pony's head so the rope would wrap under his legs at full speed he hit the ground. dad said he never galloped again. he was too afraid to. pappi's part of the reason i'm starting a rescue ranch.R.I.P Pappi
Let's hope there are more Rich Mervyns, with the courage to say what I am doing is wrong and now I want to learn a better way. A truly courageous man. More and more people are listening to Monty Roberts and the world is getting better as a result.
Monty Roberts is now my new favorite trainer. I had heard about him, but I never had really taken the time to get to know his methods, although I have always studied natural horsemanship methods. I am so glad that I took the time to watch these videos I found on youtube about him, I can't wait to learn more! He is a true inspiration and a miracle to horses and horse people.
if it wasnt for Monty Roberts i wouldnt have started rescuing Baitish Native wild Ponies about 17 years ago, he and kelly marks are lovely people, i now rescue childrens ponies full time with Montys methods-please see my work at ponypark.co.uk thankyou monty for giving me a great purpose in life, you are amazing xxx
Monty Roberts and Pat Parreli are one of very few people who are actually brave enough to stand against cruelty that is not needed. He should have an award for his bravery!!!
More people need to know about Monty Roberts and his work. I only ever use Natural Horsemanship. It is the only way to be with horses.
It is sad though that some people cannot change, they are just stuck in the past and will not learn no matter how much you tell them that this is the ONLY way to be.
Thank God for Monty Roberts - he truley is a wonderful man! The man I work for, when you see him you would think that he would use these methods, he's that sort of guy but he's read all Monty Roberts books and uses his methods! He can back a horse in under a week and they are amazingly well behaved and accept riders so well! If it wasn't for Monty Roberts i bet this is the method he would use! Thank you Monty Roberts - you changed the world of horses forever!!!!!
I bought a wild mustang from a man that saved him from abuse from the bucking bronc rodeo. You would not believe the amount of people that have said to me to just "tie his leg up' or "beat him , he'll understand" . I never have , and because the amount of fear humans have put into him, he is still scared of men on horseback , and men in particular. ( still working on it, no dont need tips). We are now best friends, he needs no rope, or whip, willing to my voice commands and follows me wherever.
I love Monty Roberts. And I watch this video all the time. Something about it makes me want to study Monty's ways more and more. He is my hero. We love you Monty Roberts!
Thank you monty for being an inspiration to patience and understanding. For going beyond the box that "grownups" tried to put you in when you were young. Thank you for your passion for life. Thank you.
This man that came to see Monty was VERY brave. He stepped forward and said: "I was wrong. I need to learn a new method." People today are just too proud to do so, it costs so much of our ego to say: "maybe I'm wrong" or even "im sorry" or "can you forgive me". Monty shows on this video that he hates this mans method, but not the man himself. And gave him another chance. We have lot to learn from this.
Honestly, people don't break horses like this anymore! My trainer has worked with five or six Mustangs from the BLM, and countless Mustang trainers from all over the country. None of them EVER used a method like this or had even HEARD of doing it. I simply can't believe that something like this happens today. The footage must have been faked.
I have no sympathy for people who treat these beautiful creatures like the methods shown in this video. People can get seriously hurt when they're facing a 1200 lb scared locamotive! I wonder whether they were dropped on their heads as children???
I believe that my saddlebred was broke out this terrible way. To this day he has MAJOR TRUST ISSUES and "trapping" issues. What a shame. I only hope that people like Monty will spead his knowledge and teach horsemen to be more kind.
I swear that if ever i see someone doing this, I'll do the exact same thing to them. The beggining made me so mad cause I just don't gey how people could get as ignorant as that. : (
Wow, at first when I saw those clips I was horrified. I felt like i could never forgive such cruelty, but Monty made me understand something that other couldn't. This reminds me of a time a horse called Jamine came to my yard. She had problems, tahst were created by this sort of behavouir. I can remember asking my instructor how on earth anyone could do this, and she tried to explain that they just didn't know, there were ignortent. If on;ly more people could come forward like ths guy.
Amen for Monty Roberts methods with horses!!! How can a horse learn anything with their legs tied up...What the heck? That sort of way should be illegal !
But he could be more friendly to the horse still. I think. Not throwing the leadrope after the horse all the time and have more patience. Just one step at the time.
join up, next day follow up after a while trying a saddle... Instead of whitin 30 minutes or so...
