  • wow! so smooth it moves like liquid

  • Amazing, the shapes are not even shaking

  • such a good animation, aye its smooth but still awesome.

  • niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiaceeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • that's why i use...head&shoulders

  • Cool! How long did it take you to make?

  • VERY nice!

  • Pocahontas ?

  • Amazing.

  • @ShinigamiChuu Ha! BUSTED! You jumping to conclusion. You putting words into my mouth. You making inferences. In your face! Hollah! W00t-w00t! But, I gotta admit it: I'm a rhetorical, art of discourse, negator, and debunker. XD And, politics excite me. ;) *silly dance* Let's rave!
  • @ShinigamiChuu I NEVER ACTUALLY called anyone a liar. You are the technical one accusing me of calling someone a liar. I never even typed the words. And, of the posts now written, I am undergoing an investigation, which may have legal International ramifications. If this is your friend, then I feel bad for their having to loose face.

But, I am now currently in contact with head of NEWS & co-founder of AWN.

If the textbook is real, and in print, I must take legal action in Singapore.

  • @ShinigamiChuu On a technical note, the only person ACTUALLY saying/calling/accusing words specifically as "liar" and "lying" was none other than you, and not I. It's is in fact in clear black & white texts. Thus, it is the proverbial "putting words into my mouth".

It may also help to READ a bit more, an not "jump to conclusions".

If someone is PUBLISHING & SELLING my artwork for money, it would in fact be unauthorized by ME, and THUS an international trade violation.

  • @ShinigamiChuu You're proverbial ling "putting words into my mouth".

Please refer to the description of the animation, which clearly states my cited references, dates, and credits.

    Thank you.

  • @ShinigamiChuu Well, I'm gonna have to call the both comment out on that here.

A.) I happen to own a number of animation textbooks, and teaching animation books, the real stuff as in Traditional Cinematic Animation. There are no such similar animations in ANY that I currently know of. If there are, please point it out or cite for correct referencing.

B.) If exaggerated animation is as common as it's claimed her,e then why does a simple search just on You Tube alone reveal nothing similar?

  • good movement :D that hairs seems so soft :D

  • SHAMPOOOOOOOO

  • Indeed, the Pocohontas (1995) movie's hair flow did inspire you.

  • i seen this animation before, it was in our school text book!

  • @prism560 That is impossible. This animation is mine, it's copyright by Me. I have the original drawings. It is mine. If someone is taking credit for my work, I must sue them.

  • @BlackUniGryphon yes it is,it in the "classical animation principles 1" for the Singapore's institute of technical education(ITE) Digital animation course 2011, Kandice Kathleen Zimbleman 2001 (c) All right reserved. u sure u didn't authorize it to my school?

  • @prism560 There was no authorization for it.

  • @BlackUniGryphon ..........well then i don't know what to said. all i know it on the book.....

  • You have frames where the head is on twos but the hair on ones, and the head is not anchored well,it even jolts at the end. As for the hair,it is not following the head, rather it seems to be moving on par and almost ahead of it,which is completely backwards of what it should be.

  • @danielsyoutub Sir, please refer to the video's description.

  • @danielsyoutub I smeell jealoussy!!:)

  • @chillincello if it makes you feel better sure, but your silly reply doesn't disprove anything I said though. Maybe in your world calling thins what they are is jealousy.

  • looks kinda like mj from the spiderman comis lol.

  • Incredible job

  • So smooth! I want to be an animator too..

  • oh awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • nice, its extremely difficult to do anything of that level, ive never tried but im definitly going to one day. well done very much ! can i ask how long it took and did you do small practises first?

  • Very fluid, the hair movement looks very natural. Although the left eye is slightly distracting, the eye doesn't hold its shape for a few frames (as the eye comes from the side to face the front). Regardless, it works. Probably wouldn't notice when its colour rendered. A very impressive line test.

  • smooth, a lit' too smooth mabye

  • Comment removed

  • Great use of follow-through! :)

  • Nice Job!

  • I can't wait till I learn how to do animations like this! I want to do this in college.

  • awesome! <3

  • a bit generic, but not bad. If you really want to nail it, use the guides in Preston Blair's techniques. He animated the femmes in all the Tex Avery cartoons.

I studied and practiced classical animation myself, and have a huge love for Pre Computer animation. Good luck!

  • holy shit. Sooo good

  • Kool

  • it sort of reminds me of how a dress flows...very nice

  • i always wanted to know how to do some kind of head turn! ;_;

  • I explained it in the descriptions.

    :)

  • that was absolutely amazing, that wave motion blew me away especially since I hate animation waves, that flow just worked beautifully!

  • OMG that's such brilliant animation!!!!! ^______^ Amazing work!!!

  • ur hands r really gifted

  • apparently he spoke chinese?

  • 你真棒啊!!! 我很喜欢你的动画。你在哪儿学汉语?你说汉语说得很流利啊.

  • really really well done!!

i started to create something like that, but i'm just too lazy xD

  • Nice work, hair is always a challenge

  • not bad : )..hey! you wanna join us to our stopmotion project? were filipino team here in SG working in animation studio as digital background artists, if you're interested to join us, let's have a chat. (cikemea) is my skype. let's do it man!

  • lilo and stitch?:L

  • no effing way. O.O That's insane..amazing just... omg.. O.O

  • Thank you! :)

  • You are really good! I once messed around with this stuff, always failed. Then I learned how to do 3D modeling and animation in Maya. I liked it better.

  • I totally suck at 3D.

have you seen my 3D CRAP? it's pretty bad!

I think of 3D not so much as animation tho'. It's more of a digital sculpting & choreography.

But, i have total respect for people whom are really good at it, since there's just sooooo much crap out there.

  • like...like...just...WOW...(in a good way)

  • Wow! This is really really good!

  • wow! fantastic hair animation, well done!

  • That's awesome! Hey, any advice on animation? I'm taking a class on Cartooning and Animation next year at high school and you seem to know a lot about it.

  • The best advice I can ever give anyone is take allot of life drawing classes, and focus alot on the quicker poses, and gestures.

Also, keep a sketchbook with you and draw, draw, draw, draw. never stop. People hate the "P" word (practice). But, just do it. doesn't matter what you draw, nor how good you draw. as long as you're sketching as a habit.

  • I love the hair in Pocahontas as well =D Haha.

  • sometimes i really hate youtube cause it wont let you scroll through a scene like quicktime

  • I think u might be able to download the video file from my Deviant Art gallery.

  • I wish I had hair like that...

mine is so curly, it wouldn't dream of flowing so much

  • Wow, that's gorgeous, how many frames is that?

  • I forget. You'll have to look up the stills of each frame in my Deviant Art gallery.

  • Simpliy Amazing, Very well done!!

  • wow beautiful, volume and weight on the hair, do u study in america?

  • haha niiiiiiice!

  • Nice work mate! That was beautiful

  • Niiiiiice!! ^^ 10/5* :)

  • wooo Uarts!!!

  • Great Job!

  • Wish I had that hair. xD

  • I wish I could do that

  • It was actually easier than you would think. ^,^

  • Great job!

  • oh, that is so very cool. I love how the hair moves in a smooth motion. really cool.

  • Hey.. good job here! I'm an animation student at Westwood

but we dove more into 3d than 2d.

We never got to do pencil tests.. what's the best way to do this with a scanner? I'm sure registration marks will be an issue here?

  • I did this before i learned Regtistration marks. I was kinda a prodegy child. I think I did this when i was 17.

  • h9ow many frames is this?

  • NO, but they asked me to interview 3 times. twice in New ork, and another in California. That last oen kept asking me... got annoying...

  • OMG! why? augh.. if i were you which im not, haha i'd so take it!

  • yeah... but it's a trick... it costs money to go there, and if you're not well off, and one one can support you, then you just can't make it happen. :(

  • Adobe Premere for video compositing and rendering. Adobe Photoshop to scan in the animation, and clean up.

  • this is really great!! how many pics did that take?

  • Off hand, i foregt, but you can find it freame by frame in my deviant art gellery if you want to use it as refrences. :)
