I wanna try fishing carp but I wanna know if I need to chum the water and what siZe hook to use

Chumming is not Legal in BC province, Canada.

You can Chum for carp where it is Legal. Mix wheat bran, bread crust, canned sweet corn with water and make a ball. It will attract carp within 10/15 minutes.

For hook you can use No # 8 to No # 14 size depends upon the fish size.

I use #12 for small crucian carp and # 8 for bigger common or mirror carp.
