I was there!!! I was 12 years old. My father took me. I have never witnessed anything quite like it. I'm not just talking about Andersen incredible will to finish the race, but also the audience. Everyone stood up and cheered this lady to the finish line. I have never seen people be so supportive in any other venue, sport or otherwise. That moment changed me and affects me to this day.
