I agree. I wish more cashiers were like you and understood one per purchase, per transaction, per visit, per customer. unfortunately it isn't just the couponers that can't read...lol. I.still totally agree.
All stores are reimbursed for manufacturer plus 8c for each one. So they do NOT loose money on them, they make money. If you are speaking about STORE coupons, then yes the store looses money on those. BUT I have never seen a Store coupon state one per person. Which store coupons are you speaking about? Maybe it is something done only at your store. So please do not generalize all store policies &coupon users as all the same. By the way I have been on both sides of the checkout lane & I'm not 90!
Seriously? Stores are reimbursed for coupons- face value of the coupon plus 8 cents each, so the stores aren't losing money (store coupons, excluded). I agree that people should read coupons and adhere to what the coupon specifies, but customers should NOT be treated as criminals for using coupons to offset their out of pocket cost of their purchases.
I've been on both sides of the register and there are just as many rude customers as there are rude cashiers.
I had a woman come up to me with a coupon that runs from 9/1/11 til 12/31/11. It was currently Feb 2011 when she took it up to me. I told her the coupon doesn't start until September. Her response was "It's February!" as if I was the dumb one here. So I told her "I know, which is why you can't use it. It's far too early to use it."
So she huffily took it back, then pulled out a different one, saying "Here, this one will work" and it starts in May. Dumb people are too lazy to read.

The irony... Cashier's rant on reading comprehension is commented on by people lacking hearing comprehension.

@MiPrimGirl I just think it's funny that so many people are getting mad at me for telling them to pay attention.
Weather it's store coupons or not is not the important issue.
All I'm saying is if you are using a coupon incorrectly don't get ticked off at the cashier because they are following what it says,
Don't shoot the weatherman if he tells you it's going to rain.

@pigletandroo I never said people should never use coupons. The misuse of them is the problem.
And I never said that they should be treated like criminals... You should work for a TV news station.

@greatdog86 No I just hate it when people have a 0% reading comprehension skill.
Paying attention to what I said in the video would have told you that.
Paying attention will also make coupon use much easer.
