  • Your saying he went because its more challenging? He went for the £££!

  • white bitches Tongan king

  • try tackling this scarborough!

  • see what happens when he plays in the best rugby comp in the world... flattened /watch?v=nb8Lag4wAO8&feature=related

  • @Keegan3005 er, u know that's a different player right?

  • They should play tuilagi, vainikolo and Matt Banahan in the same set of backs for england

  • @cruncher991 i disagree they would be way to easy to turn around. When england played wales the welsh kep goin at tuilagai because he cant turn his hips quick enough and when he has got to defend against people like shane williams or james hook it just didnt work. Its why wales scored more tried than u at twickenham and beat u in cardiff. To much bulk not enough skill

  • @cruncher991

Pitty Vianakolo cant really do anything well. Hes big thats it. They played him for england and he sucked, bad hands, cant kick, tackeling isint great(just because your big does not mean you can tackle).

  • League is rubbish! Union is how rugby is meant to be played

  • @bedlami yeah cos booting the ball off the park every couple of minutes and having a big cuddle in the mauls & a big pile in the rucks is what real rugby is meant to be eh?

When the ball spends so little time in actual play it's no wonder you can be a fat slob & play international level onion. It took 90 odd years for union to get more popular than league, it still doesn't make it the better sport. I'd rather watch the local kids than the borefest that was the international world final

  • to all the people bigging up rugby league, for the record rugby league is a shit sport in comparison. Union all the way :D

  • @tomtrems lol no.... Cause it's funny how it takes a League player (Vainikolo) to make your game exciting and entertaining to watch.. They only made league cause union is so shit.

  • @tcsonline im sorry, but which sport gains more support worldwide... oh yeah, rugby union. Theres no comparison. vainikolo switched because he felt it was good career move because it is a better, more challenging sport you idiot.

  • @tomtrems im a winger and played both codes of rugby to a fairly high level, in league i was always doing something whether it be scooting from dummy half or whatever, in union i was busy, busy keeping my hands warm and thinking about what i was having for tea while the less than athletic forwards trundled the ball up the middle.....union may gain more support world wide but league is better to watch and play

  • @tomtrems wrong :)

  • I'd love to to one day see Vainikolo v Tuilagi on opposite wings. The collision would be incredible. Although i think Tuilagi would come out on top

  • @fazer990 but which Tuilagi? If it's Manu then he'll be lucky to get on the pitch!

  • @spacedementia87 I was thinking Alesana Tuilagi. But tbh i think Manu could match up to Vainikolo pretty well.

  • @fazer990 it has happened. think was 2009 maybe 2008 guiness premiership semi tuilagi scores a try by shoving off like 3/4 players and vainikolo was one of them and was dead easy for him too.

  • @fazer990 i was watching gloucester vs leicester about 2-3 weeks ago and i was thinking exactly the same thing, but in my opinion vainikolo would probably beat him

  • put on his ass

  • excellent display of running thru somone who cant tackle, if he was any good he'd still be in league lol

  • @saintbowen79 Nah his knees are fucked. Union suits him as he stand on the wing with his fingers up arse for half of the game.

  • @saintbowen79 rugby league is too uncompetetive, there's no drive to be aggresive in defence (in comparison to union)

  • @rocklover12345678910 not 1 on 1 tackling but, as a unit i am starting to agree, i dunno why it is, field position is important, only seems to me like a few superleague sides are aggressive enough, i wouldnt say that about nrl, but having watched my team lose the last four grand finals, that is all i wanted to see from my team, aggressive defence, then again i used to laugh at forward passes in union, now league's are the same, lol

  • i met the big a few times hes funny as anything makes jack dee seem kind of boring ......

  • Why Scarborough?

  • Vainikolo = all shit

  • hey please come watch my gloucester rugby tribute if you love gloucester rugby :)

  • All I can say is....Tuilagi nailed your ass!!!!

  • alex tuilagi shits on vainikolo

  • LOMU and CAUCAU shit on both of em mate!!!!

  • @majorcoinz01 yh well obviously at their best but you know what i mean, especially when vainikolo got steamed by tuilagi last season...

  • @Henry1993bc i know what you mean. they are both good players.

  • Terrible tackling position. the Volcano was wasted when he played for England, shame really.

Also big Les's knees are shot to shit. He'll never be the legend he was in league tho he'll get an easy ride in onion...what 2 passes a game if he's lucky...lol

  • it didn't really look like he wanted to tackle him

    or believe that he could

  • typical rugby league tackle buster :)

  • he is getting back to his best lately

  • UNION KICK N CLAP !

  • Comment removed

  • hahaha

  • Well, Vainikolo is no match for Alex Tuilagi.

  • that would be a tough one to deicide

  • Well, to be fair, Lesley gave everything when he played for England. He just didn't have the time.

  • LMAOOOOO fuckin good one - NICE HIT

  • bollocks if you want to see vainikolo at his best look at his time at bradford when he cared not when hes only in it for the money

  • what a bad tackle

  • Good to see the wig from rugby league has made a contribution of some discription!!! Poor glosdur, more money down the rugby league drain-vainikolo, price, paul...bet they wish they could fuck tindull off to league in return!!!!!!!!

  • one question would you want vanikolo comin towards you?

  • dont dis sackey hes a complete legend your clearly a bell end who knows nothing

  • Cos it's fucking boring sitting through 80 minutes of 4 tackles and a kick.

As opposed to what? Kicking it for the full 80?? Getting near the oppositions line having a chance to score a try but decide to go for the drop goal! YAWN!!!!

  • Union is shit, why do you people watch it when league so much more skilful, faster and harder?

  • Cos it's fucking boring sitting through 80 minutes of 4 tackles and a kick.

  • gert83, tooo right, and in league the players are all built the same, no variety in them at all! union ftw =)

  • Shaneyboy whatever do you mean? I mean you have your scrum-half, and 14 fullbacks. That's two distinct types of player. And I think it's deadly the way they just go back and forwards and never offload in the tackle.

  • If by built the same you mean our props aren't fat cunts like in union, then yes they are all slim muscular people. Watched Wales vs. Ireland (Go on Ireland) on the weekend and that was a good match by union standards only problem is that if Wales had kicked the goal at the end they would have won the match without scoring a try. So before you slag off league for been boring maybe you should make your own sport more exciting.

  • The numbers in terms of worldwide following, match attendances and tv ratings speak for themselves when it comes to the whole union vs league debate. I like league but its limited and there isn't much variation in the way the game can be played, give to first receiver who runs straight a few times then try and spread wide quickly. Its repetitive and I think thats why union is the vastly more popular sport.

  • So football is more more popular than Union does that make it better? Union is boring pal, watched the 6 nations final this year and if the welsh bloke would have kicked the goal at the end wales would have won the game without scoring a try. It is a kick dominated game, backs don't get a chance to run with the ball and forwards are fat. Only reason union is where it is today is because of league, you cannot dispute that league coaches turned your fitness and defence around.

  • I would say football is probably the world's best sport, not my favorite sport and there's a good number of nonces who play it but its following speaks for itself.

Yeah, that final kick added real drama, Ireland wouldn't have won had we not kicked a drop goal minutes before. League coaches have been successful defence coaches, not so sure about fitness. Backs do get a chance to run with the ball as it can be played different ways. You could argue forwards don't get to play with the ball......

  • A forward gets more a chance in league than union. At union they pick up the ball and someone is there, in league you get 10 meters to run with the ball. League is played at a much quicker speed and the ball is in play 60 minutes (union 37 mins - fact). I don't mind the super 14, it's played like league. As for union been a better supported game I would say that Leeds Rhinos average over 17'000, the highest in either code.

  • ... in league as the positions seem to be first receiver 1,first receiver 2,first receiver 3,first receiver 4 then maybe throw it wide. The only league of any real quality is Australia and especially the state of origin which is one of my favorite sporting occasions, the stuff served up in the Northern Hemisphere is generally speaking piss. I like league (good standard), just think its a limited game that can quickly get boring if you don't enjoy rarely seeing the ball go past first receiver.

  • At the end of the day the only similarity with league and union is they're both called rugby, other than that it's like comparing basketball with football or soccer, as our American friends would say.

  • if u knew anything about rugby u wud now that the 6 nations is a round robbin competition so ther is no final u fuckin mong. and tbh league is class but to call forwards fat is a fuckin joke mccaw aint fat, burger isnt fat, the beast isnt fat. however paleasina is a fatty.

  • the welsh guy is fat, the two leeds tykes props are fat. paleasina is fat but effective because in league you can interchange so take him off after 15 mins. the 6 nations maybea round robin comp but whoever won that game won the comp so id call that a final.

  • i wudnt id call it the last match not the final its like calling the last match of the premierleague the final its not. and if you think any rugby forward is fat u have clearly no idea about the game they may be big but it doesnt make them fat. they have to be the fitest players on the pitch especially props.

  • In they have to be fit because they got to get back 10 meters after every tackle in union they just seem to stand about and occasionally lay down.

  • thats bollocks i have played league and union at county level nd i no the union is tougher and requires you to be fitter than in league. another problem with league is the complete bollocks that is the uncontested scrum. wot utter total shite. other than that its a brillinat game just not as good as union.

  • HAHA. "i have played league and union at county level" whatever mate. The reason the scrums are uncontested are because whenever your going to loose one you collapse it and the scrum would take 5 minutes like in union. "i no the union is tougher and requires you to be fitter than in league" I wouldn't make statements I couldn't back up, in league you have to get back 10 meters after every tackle and played at a much faster pace. In union you cant even put in a bid hit with the shoulder...

  • without getting penalised. I mean look at the shit excuse for a tackle on the video. Union defense is wank. Union today is like league 20 years ago, contested scrums slower pace and unfit players. Your lot should try professionalism one day.

  • wot a load of wank. u obviously think a tackle is that pathetic thing league players do wen they just run at each other like fuckin idiots. that one tackle was shite bt answer this if union is so shite how cum all the best league players leave to go nd play union. sonny bill williams vainikolo farrell smith walker nd half of them r shit at it. the only good player to switch codes is robinson nd he was awesome

  • They switch because as a rugby player they only have about 15 years to make as much money as possible and league cant compete with what union clubs pay the players. Iv only about 10 seconds of Sonny Bill in union and he flattened somebody (then got sin binned) the guy he nearly killed said he felt like he had been electrocuted. Only reason Farrell was shit is because the center play is union is shit the backs dont get any time with the ball, according to Gavin Henson.

  • Chris Ashton broke try scoring records. Vainakolo was nearly top try scorer and he only played about 10 games. Smith hasn't even gone yet so you cant call him shit. It's like I said before, comparing League to union is like comparing Baseball to Ice Hockey two COMPLETELY different sports.

  • ashton broke records in national league 1 vianikolo scored 4 in one game nd then scored a couple in about 10 games. dont get me wrong vianakolo is an awesome player bt he isnt as eefective in union as he was in league. and i agree totally about them being to different games. we have gone from arguin about whether or not union forwards r fat to debatin about something we both no the answer to union and league r completely different and require different skills bt they r both awesome

  • League scrums are crap coz you can contest for it but they put the ball through the second row legs and nobody does!

  • i know i av played before we had a team full of union players so we decided to push in the scrum so ther was hell on. nd we won so union is better in my eyes.

but we had a winger like vianikolo nd he was only 19 so he was awesome.

  • nice my team needs some more people like that, we got this one guy first rugby match, on his first touchj of the ball he ran through 7 people and made like 40 metres

  • haha sounds class we need more english players like that

  • yeah hes class, haha

    what team you play for??

  • yy ent he playin for england in the 6 nations???? we reeli need sum1 like that tbh

  • He got barred for GBH for a bit, I'm not sure if he's out yet, he's allowed to play for Gloucestire (don't know how to spell that), but England's a different story, I'm not sure if this is why, his hands weren't that good when he played for England last year, never the less, he is an amazing player!

  • he looks like a good player... wonder how well he'll do in the super 14???

  • sorry but i hate him xD

  • lesly is a girls name

    lesly is a girls name

na na na na hey na na na na hey

  • id love to watch you sing that to his face

  • i would personally pay u to sing tht to his face coz if u did tht to me u wouldnt b living after.

  • hahaha wat you gonna do cheaty boy?? hunt meh down?

  • yes, yes i will hunt u down

  • MEAN KIWI MEAN>>

NEW ZEALAND World League CHAMPS 2008"

  • hes a beast aint he!?

  • He is. But don't let the Rugby Union eletists here you say that.

Because as they like to tell you, he's shit, and a failure.

Walking into one of Europes best domestic teams out of your prime, scoring ample tries and terrorising defenses equates to rubbish.

Heaven forbid you recognise him as a decent Union player. He's just another 'failed' league convert.

  • i know all i said he was a beast , but he is shit he was only good in league because all the league players do is run top speed into the tackler, that don't work in union that is why he shit union player!

  • Are you retarded. If he's a shit Union player how did he walk into one of the best domestic teams in the world, and a very good international team, with relatively no experiance?

He's a GOOD Union player. It's funny how all these supposed shit and failed League converts manage to walk into pretty much any Union team they fancy, domestic or international.

  • You obviously know fuck all about rugby if you describe Gloucester as one of the best domestic sides in the world. They're the fifth best in England and I probably wouldn't place them in the top 15 in Europe, thats before you get to the Southern Hemisphere.

  • Bollox mate, he's a good player and he could easily be in the England squad right now, but England have a load of good wingers and they can't make a decision. Think about it

Sackey, Ojo, Monye, Varndell, Simpson-Daniel, Tait + a few others all hyped, capped and dropped. Sackey's been the only regular, then you've had old dogs like Lewsey hanging around.

Nothing to do with Vainikolo being ex-league - Enland have good wingers and can't pick two. Simple.

  • Sackey and Vainikolo as wingers, sorted

  • monye and ojo, sorted

    armitage as full back

  • My God, Gloucester are an average team at best, and England are poor. And 'The Volcano' is the most one-dimensional player in existence. All he can do is run at people and try to bash them out of the way. And the reason he's not in the England team is because the other England wingers are quite poor, but he's even worse. I mean Sackey is the best they have? He's a whale. Simpson-Daniel is the only mediocre player mentioned there.

  • Hmm which jealous fanbase do you represent? The out of their depth exiles perhaps? Vainikolo has rarely appeared for Glos in recent games, shows how much attention you pay.

  • I represent the jealous fanbase of Munster actually. And I really don't pay attention to Gloucester since they're a very average side.

  • Um no England arent poor

    34-10 against france

13-14 at croke park isnt exactly a bad result

england would have probably beaten ireland if they werent so ill disciplined

  • First England didnt cheat, they played a defensive game,

also ill disciplined is avoidable and the way england were playing at the end showed they could have won with an extra man.

    Other impressive wins:

Beating France at the Stade de France (cant recall Ireland doing that for some time)

Also ireland at twickenham was a good result

  • They didn't cheat but got a load of yellow cards and gave away loads of penalties. Maybe the referees are all just biased then.

  • 2 yellow cards and several penalties isnt cheating.

Ill-discipline definitely but thats not at all cheating

  • 2 yellow cards and lucky at that.. were very lucky not to get at least 3 more

  • @tomhoppo

Should have, would have ,could have. Teams become ill disiplined when they are streched. Tageting O Drico failed as he went through 2 forwards to score. Beware of the bod!Was a tight game though

  • u no nout yas?

    delon armitage poor?

ugo monye poor? u must be be joking me hahahahaha

  • Well it looks like I was wrong about Ugo Monye anyway. A truly great player.
