  • ACH MEIN GOTT!!!

  • thank you for sharing with us you music. Very nice music. I have a friend like you that for me is the best organist for impro, on our island of Malta. His name is John Aquilina and you can make friends with him.

  • Looks alot like a Schlicker to me.

  • WOW

  • This is natural talent, clearly. WOW. Study hard and please keep playing!

  • Hey wow!

  • I'm hanging up my organ shoes!!! There is no hope for me with playing like this...!!!

  • Great to see a young man taking on this great instrument and making some exciting music. Wish I could meet you and give you a "high five".

Bravo! JFFM

  • Very impressive.

  • Keep working. You are good. With time and experience, you may attain a genuine sound and an even richer imagination.

  • wierd song!!!

  • Compliments for your performing!

  • nice.... but "improvises" wouöld be totally out of place here ;)

  • console are a bit strange but you were really good

  • strange consolle...

  • Yes. Holtkamp makes alot of them that way! It is kind of there signature

  • @OrganMaster310 but is it original holtkamp? 4 swell shoes look rather uncommon for a holtkamp..

  • @fluteceleste There are actually two organs that I am playing at once. The holtkamp is the closest, and then in the back of the church there is another HUGE organ by the Shafer organ co of Slinger Wi (no longer building) So it goes from left to right, Gal Choir, Gal Swell, Chan, Swell, Crecs

  • Don, you did a really awesome job!

  • well done, but the console looks a bit odd

  • that is a contemporary console - as opposed to say a traditional drawknob console, or a horseshoe console as used on a theatre organ. Practical, but not as pretty.

  • the organ in my church has the same type of stops i am familiar with them i was referirng to the fact that the music stand is so high up because of the way the tabs and poisitioned

  • yes it is a clear sign it is a holkcamp! i do love the normal draow knobs instead of the tabs, but this is a fantastic instrument. I am actually playing two pipe organs, there is one right behind me and one in the balcony that was built in 1908 by Schaffer and now u can play the2006 holtkamp and the shcaffer together on one counsil

  • A concert organist in the making...

  • You deserve to become titulaire of one of the grand Cavaille-Coll organs in France such as those of St Sulpice, St Ouen, St Sernin, and Sacre Croix Cathedrale in Orleans. Keep playing. You give young organists, such as you and I, a VERY good name.

  • Great! You gonna take Diane Bish's place when she passes?

  • OMG Don ur ah mazing id love to come to1 of ur concerts

    Kayla

  • Don if you want to keep playing in socks or barefooted you keep on, I play barefooted

  • After over 40 years of playing the organ I suggest that you get a pair of shoes especially for organists. They have a 1 or 1.5 inch heel which allows you to bridge over pedal notes. It may be hard to get used to but if you're serious about the organ, get the shoes. Also may I suggest you cut back on other instruments you play and concentrate on the organ and piano and make them your future. You have a great gift. Direct it toward the organ. You'll never regret it. God bless your efforts.

  • Where organ shoes. Playing in socks or bare foot, can result in the palm of your feet getting damaged, and in the worse case scenario having to have a big operation...

  • Hmm. Don VERKUILEN typical DUTCH name.. AMAZING for sure.. Good to have youngsters that take pride in playing the Organ either Classical or Theatre....

  • Keep playing around with that..tweak a few things here and there and resolve at the end lol. Get it written down and you may have a masterpiece on your hands. Wonderfully done!

  • Wow Don, your amazing! You did great!!
