@saviaselva Ballpark- low $2ks- we don't post prices here because they are subject to change. If you click on the link below this vide, you can get an up-to-date price on this unit, on our website, soundpure(dot)com. If you are interested in a serious, high-end tube preamp, we are glad to discuss this unit, as well as the other options that are out there for you. We'd enjoy helping you through your next upgrade. Don't hesitate to shoot any questions you have to audio@soundpure(dot)com
@anatol1204 It can be excellent for vocals- it really depends on the type of music that you are doing, the mic that you are pairing it with, and the vocalists sound- guess in that way it's like any great mic pre with a great sound of its own. With the right pairing, it is phenomenol. We'd enjoy learning more about your studio, and helping you select the best possible preamp (and other combinations) for your setup. IF you want, you can e-mail us at audio@soundpure(dot)com and we can help now!
In your video, every time you showed the Neumanns, we only saw one mic in front. The other mic's you used, were showing the X-Y pattern and both up front. Can you tell us where you put the other KM184? I am recording classical guitars, how do these mic's and this pre work on nylon strings, finger style classical?
@billjodi5 The second mic on the left (players right) is positioned over the shoulder pointing downward towards the body of the instrument, creating a very wide and massive sound. If you watch our video on the KM184's, we discuss this positioning specifically. The 184's do a lovely job on classical guitar, and the MP2A has a certain brightness and tube sparkle about it. Obviously you will get the fleshy, warm sound of a Nylon, but acoustically, the transients will sound a lot like this video
@billjodi5 If you'd like to discuss this technique, or mic/preamp combinations some more, please don't hesitate to give us a call. You can call us toll free at 888.528.9703, or reach me (Doug) directly by e-mail doug(at)soundpure(dot)com, or directly by phone at 919-321-2805. Thanks for watching! We are seriously here to help you make the best possible upgrade, and make ourselves available even after the sale. I would really enjoy helping you out.
It is a beautiful pre! Give us a call if you do want to pick one up, or just talk shop and have us help with your recording gear. We are here to help!

i'am planing to buy a blue bluebird mic, but i don't know what preamp to buy or what audio interface (presonus firesstudio has a preamp but i guess it 's better to buy a preamp also)
It is always best to pair your microphones with an optimal preamp, based on your recording application. Depending on what you are specifically recording may change what we would recommend. Give us a ring toll free at 888-528-9703 (or e-mail sales-at-soundpure-dot-com), and we will gladly help you choose the best gear based on your application when we learn more about what you are doing. Your intuition is right that the onboard preamps on audio interfaces are OK, but nothing like this.
Thanks! We use a huge variety of mics and pres depending on what we are trying to tackle... if you are looking to upgrade, I'm certain we can help you select the best possible gear for your application and budget. Give us a call toll free at 888-528-9703, or e-mail sales@soundpure-dot-com. All of our sales team members are professional recording engineers as well and we are always glad to help.
