  • This looks really cool, ive never heard of this though is it out already?

  • the engine of this game doesnt seem like it was made to support 0 gravity, or the devs just rushed the game like activision/infinity ward did with their franchise

  • this intro remind me the opening sequence of Gundam F91!! *¬*

  • what's the story? nvidia and ati are still fighting?

  • I love this game, complete freedom of mind. I hate that nobody plays it.

  • hate to drop your keys...

  • >future shooting game in space

    >people bitching about reality

    trollface.jpg

this game isn't supposed to be realistic. just be happy it looks great, you can shoot enemies from upside down, and it is in fucking space.

  • @ImTheWackhead

There is no up or down in space

  • @Germanboy567 i know. that's why you're always upside down.

  • armed spacemen? why not.

The devs on this game prob werent thinking about the realistic aspects of this game.

I mean really spacemen who have to be very technically proficient becoming front line soldiers on "enemy stations".

  • this is stupid.

u dont keep armed guards staning around on platforms ins space, waiting for...other armed soldiers to pop up.

turrets with motion sensors would be enough.

  • @CT2507 that would be like saying EVERY game should not have guards and instead have giant robot dragons that shoot lazer beams that kill you in one hit and cant die.

  • @superkerel9 no it wouldnt! why would u say such a dumb thing about every game?!

im just saying u dont keep armed guards standing out in space, in stupid spacesuits on platforms and ledges waitng for god knows what!!

like they can defend what, with those puny guns?! they are just sitting ducks in case of an attack.

its simply not very realistic. plus its a waste of rescoures to keep those soldiers out there on guard duty.

we wouldnt do it in our time, and certainly not in the future!

  • @CT2507 /facepalm

YOU said it like every game shouldnt have guards and then you say i sayd that.

  • @superkerel9 yea, if we are talking about putting guards in space walking around stupidly, then yea. no game should ever do that!

  • (pls. paste in youtube) I-MAX PASEO AURORA 2010.wmv

  • I have to watch an add to watch an add, what the fuck is wrong with this world

  • They'd be pissed if they accidentally let go of their guns in space.

  • im confused in gameplay the guns make sound but in space there is no air so how can you hear the guns if there is nothing for soundwaves to travel on?

  • @primarch4 Simulated sound. Also, sound travels in radio waves too.

  • @Freak2121GTAF

Sound does not travel in radio waves, but instead you use a device that translates the sound into radio waves then that signal can be translated back into sound. You only hear it through your speakers. The sound does not physically travel with the radio waves.

Think of a tv, you are not seeing the physical light that hit the camera that recorded it, your seeing light your tv makes after getting the signal from your cable.

  • @oxjmanxo Cool story, bro.

  • @primarch4

    its a imitation

the recoil of the gun causes a vibration between the suit and the gun

that sound u here is the air in the suit vibrating

  • I'd play this in a heartbeat if it wasn't vista only, stupid exclusives.

  • @Lethn It's not Vista only. It requires DirectX10, which is available in Vista and 7.

  • The first FPS in too long a period of time to incorporate an original idea and make a thrilling game. Unfortunatley, more gamers will play CoD until it's milked to a pulp.

  • astronauts having gunfights in space? really?

  • i think the guy look up and see the yellow ppl coming hes like..oh shit

  • the good thing in space is that you dont need any silencers. in vaccume there are no sound waves

  • i wish this was on consoles :(

  • If you don't think this game is innovative or creative, then you have obviously never played it before, or are too much of a halo fanboy to appreciate it.

  • It would be scary to die in space like this, I don't know why but, I think it would be lol.

  • free 2 day trial of this on steam!

  • Awesome... xD

  • guys , stop spamming conversation comments please?

  • jajaja balas en gravedad 0 :;S:S:S:S::S:S

  • is realistic because you can't make sound in space because there isn't any air particles in space to pass the vibration

  • on the free trial from steam there's no servers .. how come?

  • you have to look at if the members are full or not happen to me

  • It's fixed now.

  • why the hell cant I find any servers for?! I wantd to play damn it..

  • btw ,its free on steam for the weekend

  • tribes...

  • @pgf95 agree, how about they suck MY dick after they finish from yours lol.

    because they never learn

  • @yaz90jordan me next. slob on my nob, like corn on a cob!

  • the requirements are high, much higher than crysis

  • Really? Somebody told me the requirments were really low.

  • no its not low, go check out the REQUIREMENT its high. You need a quad core , and at least a GTX 260 or 4870 to play it at around 30-50fps

  • GTX 260? You've gotta be bullshitting me. In fact, here are the minumum specs, right of Steam:

    Minimum:

OS: Windows Vista/7 (Does not support Windows XP)

    Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 / AMD Athlon64 X2 5600+

    Memory: 2GB

Graphics: 256MB NVIDIA GeForce 8800GT / ATI Radeon HD 3870

    DirectX®: 10 (Does not support DirectX 9)

    Hard Drive: 1.5 GB

Sound: Windows Vista compatible sound card

  • no, the guys behind the game, futuremark, normally make computer benchmarking software and made the game specifically for the ultra high end. maybe it was a test for something, but the game is alright, could be alot cooler if they add more maps modes and guns, all doable of course.

  • meh

  • This game is starting to cause a lot of disagreements, so it is good then?

  • graphic is cool but i doubt the gameplay will be as good

  • looks nice i hope they put some blood in though...

  • Too cold in space. Would freeze before it had the chance to spatter. It's going to stay inside your suit.

  • @SoManySkinks Or at most become little frozen spheres just floating around.

  • Nah, it would only freeze if it hit something else thats been in the vacuum for a while. Space itself... is nothing, so space has no temperature. If blood is ejected into "shadow" space, where there is no sunlight, it will retain its temperature for quite a while until it either 1.) Touches something, which would freeze it via energy transfer or 2.) Struck by sunlight, which would boil and vaporize it.

Space has no temp, and the only heat lost would be to minute particles or entropy, not much

  • That isn't right at all!

Space has a temperature. It's usually 2.725 Kelvin, -270 degrees Celsius or -455 Fahrenheit.

That is the temperature of space. An absence of heat is cold, you don't need something to be absolute zero. You should research the point your making before you post it. Space, just like everything else, has a concrete temperature that can be measured and understood, even if it does vary.

  • @SoManySkinks uh....last time i checked, space wasn't just an absence of heat. It's an absence of any medium at all. It's vacuum. Nothing. Sorry, to nitpick, but next time you say something like that, remember to list all of the facts, kthnxbai =D

  • ...You're an idiot. Space is filled with crap, it's just far and in between. Dismissing that and talking about just empty space, you'll note I didn't ever say it was -just- an absence of heat. Remember to actually -read- the post you're responding to before shooting your mouth off.

  • @DylerBurben it's not just vacuum, there are actually an average of a few molecules per meter cube in space, when it gets closer to planets it becomes more. PLUS there are lots of regions of material deposits such as asteroid belts. If something like a huge comet passes by it leaves a long trail of stuffs with dust and debris and more. If the moon exploded there'll be a hell lot of rocks flyin around.

  • @SoManySkinks your statement is quite false... you need a medium to actually have temperature. since in space it's almost nothing, which is just a few molecule per meter cube, there is no actual heat transfer between the "space" and the thermometer, so what you are actually measuring is the when the rate of heat lost of your thermometer by radiation is equal to rate of heat gain from what it's attached to e.g. the shuttle, the gloves... etc.

  • ...Yeah? Cool story, bro. I'm not sure what part is false, though. This doesn't exactly contradict what I said. Unless you want to take 'empty space' literally?

  • @SoManySkinks nonono!! in one of your comments you said you can measure the temperature of space. so i'm saying it's not true.

  • Ooooooh. Okay. Yes, well, I still maintain that even if it can't be measured in a conventional sense, we have tried to determine what temperature it can be approximated as.

  • @SoManySkinks uhm if im not right correct me but isnt -270 degrees celsius 0 degree Kelvin ???

  • @kleinesmaenchen 0 kelvin is actually -272.7 oC

  • @SoManySkinks thats not entirely true it depends on how close you are to a sun or star.

  • @SoManySkinks yeah you're right but come on it's just a game!

  • @christarasthegreat

Oh, of course! But I got into an ancient argument with some dude about the science behind it. i was -wondering- why people kept replying to that old ass post, it's cause it got a bunch of thumbs up. Loooool

  • @SoManySkinks Space doesn't have a temperature. The particles that float in space (mostly hydrogen) have a temperature. Vacuum doesn't have a temperature. Space, as in "outer space", as in, the area outside our planet, only has a temperature because it has stuff in it.

  • @notToast

What on earth the fuck are you talking about???

At least Google this shit before farting it out of your ass...

  • @SoManySkinks That's the temperature of the background radiation. While anything far from the sun will reach this temperature eventually, a perfect vacuum has no temperature.

  • @SoManySkinks

How can something that holds no mass or energy have a temperature?

  • What are you talking about? Space is, well, space, or matter. Matter has properties, one of which is temperature. Space is matter just as much as anything else blood would come into contact with.

  • rofl it has no support for xp or direct x 9

  • Wow, cool. And finally a game set in space without stupid sound effects.

  • looks pretty damn fun, might get it once it comes out on steam.

  • it is out on steam

  • this game looks pretty awesome. only like 17 bucks too. i think i would have to upgrade my comp a little to run it comfortably though =\

  • Looks good to me.

im just thinking the bad chat about this game that no one has played yet is coming from the console crowd.

Get a job, learn some PC skills, buy a PC and stop being butthurt.

  • I have all of those yet I play console... why because I'm lazy and you know I don't have the time or patience to play pc anymore. I've got bills, kids, and my job to worry about.

How about you grow up and accept that not everyone is as privileged as you are in order to devout such time to a game.

Hell even if I had the time, I'd rather go on vacation with my wife and kids.

Oh and before you say I'm not a gamer, I've been playing them since before you were born. We pioneered the genre. Thanks.

  • mate im 33 and ive played since Intelivision and Atari.

i dont care if you are a gamer or not (what does that even mean anyway?), your whole post is based upon your assumption that im 15 years old.

i however can afford all platforms a high end pc and go on holiday.

you say 'WE' so i assume 'YOU' pioneered the genre?, what did you do specifically?

  • and im going to assume you have no patience to play PC anymore and you are swamped with bills because you are stupid and didnt pay attention in school, might have something to do with the whole being lazy that you admitted too..

now i am going to be purposely immature and act the age you confused me with because i know it will get your back up.

'you are a butt hurt fag'

  • You sure have the time and patience to waste time on youtube.

Grow up and learn to filter out things that actually waste your time, like; your ego, for instance.

  • shattered bricks!

doesnt bring nothing cool, at least if they was gundans or robots, like in heavy gear 2, i miss this game so much T_T, cant imagine it running cry engine 3

  • 1 word 2 syllables.

    JesusChrist!

  • my laptop should be able to run this on high but the requirements are high q6600/amd940 8800gt

  • lawl mild suggestive themes

  • test system ????

  • tribes....zzzZZZZzzz

  • Tribes?! this looks nothing like Tribes! this takes place in space and zero gravity! not on land with sliding jetpacks!

  • @sonicspeed011 it still has the tribes feel of complete mobility. I think they def. had tribes in mind when they made this*they seriously need to make a new tribes*

  • good point....

  • @starsiegeRoks they are its coming out soon

  • they've been making sick looking game/graphic engines for what? 10 years now?

hopefully they'll be able to pull this act together, looks nice

  • maybe windows 7 too

  • I heard it's ONLY uses DX 10, so for Vista only.

  • Don't forget Windows 7.

  • HOPEFULLY

  • i think this game has potential to bring FPS into a different level of enjoyment. Now i should be hold my breath to prepare before they announces the graphic requirements....

  • FUUUUUUU-

  • With that NVidia ad at the end - it makes me think if it has Physx.

  • it does use the phsyx engine

  • crysis killer?

  • In space no one can be hearing you screaming!

  • Because sound cannot travel through space without air

  • O M G if future mark creates a game, it will either kill your pc because of high end requirements or blow you away with extremally good graphics

  • cool

  • it looks likee Republic Commando

  • yeah, if this game has a multiplayer (which it should) its going to introduce on gameplay machanics that we have never seen before. I hope it works... which it will!!!!!! (i hope..)

  • Look description. 'Shattered Horizon is a multiplayer first-person shooter PC game where players fight in zero gravity from Futuremark Game Studio.'

  • This is called creativity.

  • @AlwinRoth creativity like if we never seen space and gun before u fucking tard

  • @FREEZERQC

    Look at you rage...

I meant creativity as in game-play.

Do you see any game out there with this kind of mechanic?

  • @AlwinRoth Dead Space 2's new Zero G manuvering is quit a bit like this. But of course Isac's suit's thrusters aren't as powerful and there are a couple on the side as well as his feet... I think. Idk I'd probably have to go and watch it again but ya. Dead Space 2 is gonna be AWESOME! :D

  • @FREEZERQC ok name a game that is entirely zero gravity deathmatch you douche

  • @FREEZERQC You're a douche, -1 internets for u.

  • @MomciloRistic94 you give too much of a fuck

  • @FREEZERQC you want to fight boy?

  • @MomciloRistic94 you should just try not giving a fuck

  • @FREEZERQC Ok, fight over.

  • @MomciloRistic94 now ure talking man i don't even remember wath was my comment and i don't give a fuck peace

  • @FREEZERQC Sorry, do I know you?

  • theyres no sound iun space so i guess thats right, but the guns wouldnt work

  • No the guns would work look it up.

  • This is great!

  • This game blows.

  • have you played it ?? you cant judge it before you have played it.

  • I played the beta. The game is boring as fuck.

  • Yes, the beta was boring. I only found like 5 people at a time in a given server. Wait for the full game and 32 player servers before you decide that it's boring.

  • Interesting gameplay at the start but otherwise nothing special about this game.

  • Looks pretty unrealistic, but still could be fun.

  • looks nice wonder how the jet pack will control

  • It takes some getting used to, but you get it down pretty quick!

  • i dont really play on my pc but i got a beta code for this and never used it but this looks pretty good idk when the beta ends but if u want the code just mesg me and i give it to you

  • No cause I'm not a PC gamer and I never will be

  • great game, but one question would a gun be able to shoot in space?Because there is no oxygen in space.

  • Depends on how the gun works.

This game looks very interesting. Looks like fun. =D

  • True...

  • it says ice on the side of the gun

  • That is a grenade. The gun holds 60 rounds of some ammo...and you basically have unlimited ammo for that. You only have 4 grenades though.

  • if the gun relied on igniting a charge like almost every gun does, then no it wouldn't.

Unless there is some system to feed oxygen directly to the gun for that purpose, which seems a little inconvenient to me.

Probably some futuristic gun that has a different system, such as an Electro-magnetic or Rail gun.

  • this and dust 514 look amazing badass. FIRST PERSON FOR THE WIN!!

  • Looks like quite a break in the mould for a first person shooter.

  • *watches ad befort video*

GET OFF OF MY SCREEN BEFORE I STEAL YOUR INSIDES AND LEAVE THE EYES BEHIND!

  • looks pretty bogus to me.....i'd rate it at a 2/5....i mean seriously gunfight on a asteroid? someone watched "moonraker" too much and got carried away with it.....and thus "shattered horizon" was born.....

  • U need to not come to this post again thankyou.

  • looks awesome.

  • looks cool and it will be a new experience to low gravity games

  • for all you retards that say it's unreal stupid and you won't get it. keep that in mind what you said. Now if you buy it and like it your a fuckin douchebag

  • it would get confusing going up side down and shit but i think that this game looks ok...

  • Pvtjamesryan2, what do you think they are going to have -.- plasma guns like in halo?. or laser guns like in star wars?. sigh

  • But on the other hand it is a game.

  • wtf :P

  • Hm looks interesting

  • This looks pretty cool.

  • Looks pretty sweet. I've gotta try this when it comes out.

  • this game is good. i know that becouse i'm beta tester ;] you have to play that game ;]

  • Yeah this is why im a pc gamer guys...

I bet the co-op mode is goingto be their looks so awesome!!!

  • Looks pretty sweet. Reminds me of the ZG parts in Dead Space.

  • Kind of defies physics doesn't it?

  • how so?

  • Well, the muzzle flash would be impossible in space, the fact that a person in a spacesuit would take more than one bullet without dying, and this game would be extremely stale without sound, since sounds don't travel in oxygen-void spaces, only vibrations, and "Beeps" i majored in physics and that just made my whole view on life die a little.

  • space suites are split into sections with air tight spaces inbetween so if a tear does happen then u wont die

  • If you get shot while in a spacesuit, and even more important, while in space, it would be more than a tear, it would be a hole into your body and the vacuum of space would suck every liquid out of your body and you would die very fast, unless they are using pea-shooters, but as i said, it's a game, let fantasy fly.

  • If there is 100% REAL game its also 100% boring:P

  • That is not true. Its not about the reality, its how the developer works the reality into the game.

  • You make some valid points, including how it IS a game, but really, the muzzle flash is necessary or all the retards wouldn't figure it out, and as for being shot, I don't think they'd be doing combat like this without outer protection.

  • and so is killing people in spacesuits......but no one else is complaining.

  • wow! cool!!!

  • Lokks avesome, but what the hell...

Your a space astrunaut who attack's an evil space ship with some other evil astronaut...

That made alot of sence diddent it?

  • Oh great!!, another FPS
