  • Jose has a good point. So much has been done with the character, and it's been so inconsistent, that it's hard to pin down the specifics of what WW is. We're not even sure exactly what her powers are. Maybe the next reboot will start with the most important essentials and build logically from there. ;P

  • J did not know you had a problem with Fraction. I have really been enjoying his work on both Thor and Iron Man I think it is pretty solid stuff

  • @zcorp79 I think the issue we've both had lately was that Fraction's work is starting to take on the characteristics of his contemporaries. We see more decompression and writing for the trade in his work. It's understandable as to why it's happening, but that's not to say that we like it. Fraction is still one of my fave writers. Elliott

  • I was checking back issues and J. Peaty did an issue of Supergirl 33 Nov '08.

  • I've been checking back again and again for aaaaaages for a new vid from you guys!

I listened to the IMJ podcasts but I can't get past insideman's accent (!!!) - and Elliot is the Ying to Jose's Yang, it's just Yang Yang there

But anyways, really glad you're back!

  • Thank you. Thank you.

  • what do you guys think of heroclix? i think its really fun

  • The audio makes it sound like they're 6 inches tall.

  • I totally gazmed when I heard that Higurashi shriek. Welcome back, guys.

  • Hey, guys. Missed the show. Glad you're back. The Wondie thing isn't unique to her. They have a hard time with lots of characters...Hawkman...GL...Atom...Aquaman...Capt. Marvel..etc, etc, etc. The whole "why can't they write good female characters?" thing is just PC BS. Good writers do not have that problem. It's a banal cliche' that has no bearing in reality. Put a talented writer who respects the character on the book, problem solved. Thanks for tip the THUNDER AGENTS. I'll give it a try.

  • don kramer told me at nycc that jms kept handing in the scripts late giving him only 2 weeks to draw the book so they have to split up the art chores

  • batgirl is my current favorite book

  • I agree with all of you on Power Girl and Zatanna. Both are consistently excellent. Add Birds Of Prey and Gotham City Sirens to that list and DC has a damn solid list of female character driven books. Wonder Woman continues to be an anomaly.

  • yay! my favorite duo is back! Great review boyz, i'm so feelin ya'lls pain on this WW BS. I want Gail back!! As yall know Power Girls my fave dc book..since the first issue, i was weary when the writers changed at issue 13 but i liked where they went w/ the character I'm aslo reading Zatanna and i was thinking about pickin up Wonder Girl issue 1, did ya'll take a look at it? Anywayz great nu show of the year and nice bomb ass music in the background Jose!

  • It's about damn time! I missed you two knuckle-heads! Keep those videos coming, guys! BTW, Elliott, I wanted to know your opinion on the FF stunt.

  • @Natewayde Meh. Elliott

  • Oh I forgot to add that you guys shunned my other favourite DC girl Zatanna! What do you guys think of her book?

  • Great to see you guys back together again, been missing my weekly fix of CCW, although IMJ and GeekToMe has filled the void nicely. Love that you finally reviewed three of my favourite books, and all in one episode! Been reading Supergirl and Batgirl since issue 1 and jumped on Power Girl since picking up the first trade. I'm pretty sad that Sterling Gates is not writing Supergirl anymore but after reading #60 I'm looking forward to what is coming next. Great to see you guys back together

  • Jose, that is a badass t-shirt.

  • I saw those issues today, I was thinking about actually getting them.

  • Batgirl and Supergirl have both been fantastic as of late but I agree that latest issues of both were the best thus far. Batgirl featured the best Damian story and depiction I have ever read in ANY book. I also agree that THUNDER Agents and Detective Comics are two of DC's strongest books at the moment. I'd also throw Action Comics in that list as well.

  • Very much enjoy POWER GIRL. Got the new issue of Wonder Woman #606 and I have found a huge difference now and I see it going some where.

And Zatanna I put right up there with Power Girl.

  • You have forgotten of:

    WONDER GIRL!!!!

    1. - Donna Troy.

    2. - Cassandra (Cassie) Sandsmark.

    3. - Drusilla. Interpreted by Debra Winger in the Show TV "Wonder Woman".

  • sweet! ive missed you guys, thanks for uploading another video. by the way, jose, love the tshirt

  • Couldn't agree more about WW. This week's issue was PAINFUL to read. I just want wonder woman to wake up from this nightmare and do anything else. It's so frustrating.

  • @dangerfeild4Life

Agreed. I dropped Wonder Woman months ago after 8 years of collecting her comics. It just isn't the same.

  • Nice having you guys back!

  • Hey guys, just want to say I'm new to your show (relatively, I didn't like you before, but now you are the ultimate authority). Thanks for spreading the TRUTH (via bashing/exposing of: Loeb, Bendis, Millar). There really is no one else talking about the decrepit decline of comics, and you two are doing all you can to display that truth. Thank you so much!!!

Just by talking, you've said things that I've said to fellow comic readers forever, but no one listens. Thanks. You've got another fan.

  • Nice to see all the love on the channel! Yes indeed, we are back. :) Elliott

  • 2 of my favorite people on Youtube are back. Let the good times roll!

  • Great T-Shirt Jose!!!!!!!!!

  • I think WonderWoman is the prime example of a character that has had all of her iconic elements removed or greatly marginalized. Steve Trevor, removed as a love interest/ major character. The invisible jet is now irrelevant because she can fly (though she may have lost that ability again in the JMS run). I'm of the opinion that you don't tamper to much with the truely iconic elements of major characters. People wouldn't dream of getting rid of Lois Lane(Superman) or the Batmobile(Batman),

  • @mathew101281

Agreed Matew, They have tampered too much with Wonder WOman over the years that she is NOT the same character as she was. Would they do that with Batman or Superman? No, so why do it with her?

  • Foxhound!

  • i do love this show...expecially for the bitching and verbal violence

  • love you both

esp elliott who is going though a hard time right now , but still gives us his time :)

    thankyou xx

  • Good to see you guys back.

  • Congrads on the return E & J. I buy my WW, PG, Batgirl (in tpb), & Supergirl. I am hoping the next writer the JMS/Hester mess that it reset to a better w/a team that can get the job done.

    Looking fwd to Last Rants!

    Matthew

  • Welcome back guys. Kick some ass in 2011!!

  • I want that Foxhound T-Shirt

  • hey guys, welcome back! and as always, great job reviewing the underdogs. i have to agree with you on Supergirl #60. I randomly read that issue and i totally get the Nick Spencer hype now because I actually enjoyed an issue of Supergirl.

too bad about WW though. Jose, I totally feel your frustration when a fav character of mine is mishandled.

but ya, she really needs a brand new overhaul.

anyways, can't wait to see more!

    Keep On Hating!!!

  • Batman is my fav. charachter, and I will GENERALLY support him no matter what but with Tony Daniel writing AND drawing it, no Thank-You.

  • That Batgirl issue really was amazing. Easily one of the DCU's best Female charachters right now, and quite possibly my favorite incarnation of Batgirl, and I really hope she STAYS as Batgirl for a while.

  • Good to see you guys back together. For a future topic suggestion, can you guys tell us if comic creators should stay off the internets? Recent incidents include Dan Slott swearing at fans and Jason Aaron saying f**k off to Alan Moore.

  • Three Cheers for Back!

Welcome back fellas been too long

  • Nice, glad to have you both back! But after one month, I would have expected to see better looking outfit then a drab grey superman sweatshirt!! The Fox Hound doesn't look bad, but doesn't work well with the green long sleeve. Oh well, it's been a month, need time to recover :)

  • @tubernery Dude, I was pretty hung over. ;) You'll have to deal with my drab sweatshirt for the next 3 episodes. Hope you can make it through. :P Elliott

  • @tubernery I wasn't aware this was a fucking fashion show.

    J.

  • @comicculturewarrior J ur fuckin funny

  • i must say the new superman/batman issue was amazing...just throwin it out there...

  • wow this is a nice surprise :)

  • @deemar325 elliot is kirk and or shatner.
