Market for Liberty is very natural rights oriented and Gary Chartier is a natural rights philosopher. I'm assuming it's his preference. It also is very heavy in theory on what a society would look like (however there were others before that did the same thing. see: Voluntary Socialism by Francis D Tandy)
I couldn't say "why", but the information we have is that they seem to have been trying and then abandoning all sorts of things around that time period of circa 1970. People often make bad mistakes when they're young and the Nazi thing, in their case, was before they zig-zagged back in the opposite direction.
Market for Liberty is a strange choice... why not Instead of a Book, or What is Property, or something like that?
