Made this exactly as it said and the dough came out way too sticky even before i added the food coloring..I hate to freeze it twice as long to make it moldable

You said that liquid food coloring tends to make cookie dough too sticky, but since we're chilling it in this case, would it matter too much? Just wondering, as I've yet to actually see any of the gel stuff in stores around me. :)

@frickitydickity I think liquid food colouring would be okay, if the dough is too sticky after chilling just coat the counter with a bit of flour when working with it

how about a valentines day drink just pour 7up into a large punch bowl and add red food colering,,7up is clear so you can change the coler to about anything ,,food colering wont change the taste of it,,only change its coler,,

For valentines day, I was at shoppers drug mart (since your Canadian you have one too) and I found a wilton candy making kit, it came with candy melting wafers, bags, sucker sticks and the cutest valentines day molds! When ever i use parchment paper it Burn's and then my hole house gets all smokey? and when i grease it they still burn even if i have it on the proper temperature any ideas??

@glittergal123456 I've never had parchment paper burn. Sometimes the edges may brown a bit, but not enough to make smoke. Maybe it is the brand you are using? Does is say baking parchment on the package? No other ideas, sorry.

Hey Tammy! Gr8 vid as always.I once saw a method u might find interesting.U'd roll out & cut circles of your white dough,then with a cutter smaller than the circle u used,u'd cut out from the circle the shape u like (say a heart) & set it aside.Then,roll out ur colored dough & use the same small (heart) cutter u already used & place the colored dough inside the white circle & the white heart inside the colored circle.U'd end up with two toned cookies with shapes inside them.Hope that made sense.
