there was a Curtis Mathis store that went out of buisness back around '89 could've been earlier, they had a brand new pioneer 8 track tape deck still in the box, with pause, record, and fast foward. I hooked it up just long enough to see if it worked. The owner was a friend of mine and he didn't charge me anything for it.

Nice Sansui look like the one my Dad has he found it in the garbage of his apartment building. Old people just threw it out! Works great old Sansui is awesome!

Is it mee or does one of the reels seem to be moving slower onn the Reel to reel?

BTW great setup! I have similar stuff by other brands, My parents dont appreceite it much though they dont understand why I'd rather have something old than new... and why

1 Tape deck,Eq,TT,cd changer and receiver is enough... and they sont understand why I don't use just 2 speakers running...

wouldn't the reel pulling the other reel pull it faster when its running out of tape and the wheel is smaller than when its full of tape and bigger?
